Positive Comments: I like intro–it’s gimmicky catchy but with a good groove. The overall vibe is good. Now you need a rap! Although I gotta admit I’m pretty happy just bopping to this as a background theme.

Constructive Comments: There’s not much bass in the mix. A slow counter movement bass line would be really cool.

The Only One by Powerklash

Reviewer: Randal Dunkle

Positive Comments: I really like the way this song jumps right out of the gate, sounds a little like Thin Lizzy. Very cool leads and vocals.

Constructive Comments: Very good Rock & Roll song, I do hear some things that could be easily fixed. First, the backing vocals need to be turned up. Second, I think the backing vocals need to be set at a different frequency because it blends too much with the music – at any rate the backing vocals are the key to making this song sound great.

Positive Comments: I like the smooth guitar sounds and the laid back atmosphere, I also like the beautiful vocals.

Constructive Comments: Very good song however, I did hear some places where the voice sounded flat, especially with the elongated words, I would shorten those words, because the singers voice actually sounds better when she halts her words. I think the song would sound much better with a saxophone and drums – best wishes!

Positive Comments: Super slinky and greasy groove, overall maybe a cross between James Brown and Fine Young Cannibals. Arrangement of horn/synth lines is first rate.

Constructive Comments: Constructive criticism would be , vocals are kind of weak for a song like this, lot’s of energy in the music, vocals are a little flat and the effect is not really helping. Arrangement could overall be a little more dynamic, but the groove is super hot in a kind of 90’s new wave funk, pop sort of a way.

Positive Comments: This almost sounds like Bill Withers in an experimental mode. Very soulful, gritty vocals and lyrics that sound right out of the best of the 70’s. That break starting at 3:30 is outrageously soulful and tasty. I LOVE it. This rocks!!

Constructive Comments: I’d like to hear this more RnB organic with a drum kit, congas, electric bass w strings, guitar parts and a wurlitzer AC200 part and some horns. The EQ balance is lowmid heavy in places and volume levels could use some pasteurizing. This is badass, funky stuff. Excellent work! Curious to see who this is.

Positive Comments: Really nice vocal quality here. Pitch perfect and a really sweet timbre. Lots of potential with this singer and the bones of the tune.

Constructive Comments: The acoustic guitar sound is not very good here–it’s got chorus? on it that doesn’t help, and it’s overall very murky. Getting an acoustic to sound good is hard but try to get it clean and bright. There’s too much repetition of “if I can do you right” –it’s not that strong a hook and would be too much with almost any hook.

Song: I DON’T LOVE YOU

Reviewer: lost on foot

Positive Comments: Easy listening pop, interesting start with absolutely no intro, easy mellow sounding backing and the singer has a very good voice. The song melody is catchy and is kind of instant with lyrics that have a twist. The song is short compared to the standard but in terms of form it all works

Constructive Comments: I think another chorus would have worked the melody is strong enough to want another listen. It would be worth recording the vocals again or trying out some different effects out. The voice is good and worth showing off a bit more

March Of The Penguins by Ian Ritchie

Song: March Of The Penguins

Reviewer: B&S

Positive Comments: A good track, with a nice structure and arrangement. I like the drums groove it well supports strings and brass. Strings line is catchy and punchy. Overall I like the basic idea.

Constructive Comments: Just remarks about sounds, they are not very good, I think that using good sounds libraries you’ll get increase sale opportunities. Maybe drums is a little too saturated and the oboe line looks like an improvisation (maybe it is..)
