Positive Comments: Cool intro with nice changes on the keys–it could be a Luther Vandross thing. And vocals even better. Did you really say “that dick, that stroke?” You just cut out 80% of possible airplay outside of the inner city stations, lol.
Constructive Comments: I feel like this needs more umph despite being really good as is. I think you should break into more than just the muffled kick patch on the chorus. And overall I’d like a real drum kit, although tons of hit tunes have machine grooves. How about a guitar part? It would a depth and complexity. There’s a lot of falling melody on the verses–you need some *up* strokes, so to speak. It would take a lot of thought offer a complete list but the bones of a great tune are here already.
