Constructive Comments: Can’t see how this would be marketable…country is a pretty natural genre.

Positive Comments: Tight performance of a solid tune. The lead playing is really hot, more in the Eric Gales realm than Blues per se but that’s just fine. Cool organ work that makes me think of Grank Funk back in the day. This has the “sassy white chick” stripe of blues which is a totally valid variation. This sounds like a real band that would really win over a crowd live.

Constructive Comments: Breaking out of the bass tonic on all four would let the song breathe more. Maybe drop a few hornets in your shorts to get a bit more grit in the vocals?

Positive Comments: Really tight guitar riffing with very nice warm crunchy sound and great groove. That drum track really swings. The slide part and the more than root/5th chords take this beyond Heavy Metal into more of a hard Prog Rock territory. I really dug this, and it ended too soon!!!

Constructive Comments: I wanna hear more. This is badass!!

Positive Comments: This is musical with a tight keyboard performance and some very nice changes in key spots. It has a positive vibe that would work in a “company success” video context. There are some very tasteful chord changes here.

Constructive Comments: The reverb on the drums has a very high EQ tail that I’d try to tone down a bit (kind a of rattling BB’s sound). The horn part would be good with a real horn–the line is good–but the keyboard execution gives it too much of a band in a box feel (and yes it’s frustrating to not be able to get real horns in easily without hiring a section!!).I think you need a bit more tension in the arrangement. You’ve got some really cool changes / voicings already so I think this would come from going to the rhythm section and working to make it breathe more and vary from the “chipper 8ths” that are playing constantly. You *do* this at 3:32 but it’s really late in the game. What about bringing the whole thing down about 4bpm? That would leave more room for drama maybe?
