Positive Comments: This is like a Marianne Faithful tune. Very subdued and sombre–and it’s working very well. I really like the vocal timbre and grown-up sound of the performance. Nice & delicate accompaniment that supports and never gets in the way. I like artistic & original statements like this that use musical structures that work but it’s new and fresh. The production is very clean and strong here. Nice work!!

Constructive Comments: It might be a bit to Baroque harpsichordy in the arrangement. I’d like to hear it with a dark bar piano in place of that and see how it sounds. There are a few spots where vocal is a bit flat for just an instant. I’m sure you could fix it with a careful listen and take, using comp vocals to get the best version. I’ll admt I wasn’t quite ready for a whole album side…lol.
