Time For Me To Say Goodbye by Denis Hackett

Broadjam Artist: Denis Hackett
Song: Time For Me To Say Goodbye

Reviewer: Jeff Roberts

Positive Comments: Not R&B but Pop. And very good Pop. This is kinda Billy Joel with more soul. Great songwriting here –the lyrics, melody, and phrasing are superb. Nice piano work, and with the bass and drums it’s really all that’s needed. Vocals are tremendous.

Constructive Comments: really nothing to add critique wise I think this is perfect for what you’ve tried to do.

One More Time by Jimmy Joe Lee

Broadjam Artist: Jimmy Joe Lee
Song: One More Time

Reviewer: Jeff Roberts

Positive Comments: Not R & B at all. This is Americana on the edge of Country, and it’s really really good. The production is really clear, sweet, and balanced. Fantastic lead vocal that makes me think of Mel Tillis, Glen Campbell, Roy Orbison, and maybe even Freddy Fender. Cool to start right in with a vocal grind. Superb playing on all instruments, and I like the almost mariachi horn break. This is really classic!

Constructive Comments: Really nothing other than get the category right.

Song: Love Never Ending

Reviewer: Jeff Maguire

Positive Comments: Very nicely done, professional arrangement with nice variation that is suitable for trailer use, and numerous other applications. Good rise in dynamic level, articulation, and instrumentation all along, gives a sense of rising up from slumber and simplicity into greatness. Reminds me a little of the score from ” Lord Of The Rings”

Constructive Comments: No real complaints, it’s well done and enjoyable to listen to. I mean it would sound better with a real orchestra wouldn’t it … but that’s about it.

Positive Comments: Lovely song. It was quite the pleasure to listen to. I especially loved the feeling that I could hear behind the lovely instrumentals and lyrics. You have a wonderful way of communicating the feelings an the message behind the lyrics and instrumentals. Keep on pouring that beautiful soul and voice into your music!

Constructive Comments: I am not a huge fan of providing “constructive criticism” unless I feel that it would be super beneficial without interfering with the artist’s creative vision and emotion behind the musical creation. I really don’t have much to say here. You did a dutiful job and I look forward to hearing more. It wouldn’t hurt to turn the reverb up and adjust the mix on the vocal and instrumental a bit..assuming it isn’t already a finished piece of course. Thank you for the opportunity to listen to such a moving piece. 🙂

Positive Comments: Love the acoustic work. Production quality is also very nice. It has a sense of professionalism and realism to it at the same time. This balance is often hard to achieve but you certainly achieved it! I can also tell that this song has some meaning behind it. It drew me in from the very beginning. O very much enjoyed listening to this song

Constructive Comments: I really enjoy this song. Your lyrics and your vocal quality are wonderful. I had thought that I was already hooked from the onset…and then I heard the female vocal harmony and I absolutely knew that I loved this song! Her warm and sultry tone is a wonderful addition to this song. I want more though! I’d love to hear more of that gorgeous harmony. The two of you blend beautifully together.
