Positive Comments: This was a fun old school country/ 60’s rock style song. I could see it working in a film based in the 60’s. It would sefinitely be a time period piece because it does not fit in with modern country, but it is a fun song with a 60’s vibe.
Constructive Comments: On this recording the vocals sounded a little blurred and i could not understand what the lyrics were saying except for the chorus. I think clear recording of the vocals is needed.

Positive Comments: This had a nice johnny Cash kind of vibe to it. I liked the story alot, it was a good country song. It was a little dated for modern radio but would be nice in a movie scene. You have a pretty voice and sang it with lots of tenderness and emotion.
Constructive Comments: The bugles in the begining kind of came out of now where, it would have been nice to have a little build up.I found it to be a little dated, it reminded me of johnny cash but i like it alot.

Song: Time For Me To Say Goodbye

Positive Comments: Nice piano melody part. Could be a John Legend style song with some adjustments – and that’s a good thing if you want commercial success with it. Nice build through song. Strong hook.
Constructive Comments: Saxophone made it seem rather dated. See comment above re John Legend – An acoustic piano version in that sort of style would allow the strength of this song to speak for itself. Vocalist is tuneful but a really strong R&B vocalist with greater agility and emotion/ character would hook people in even more. Overall a very strong track though so these are just my opinions about how to move it to excellent.

Song: Shakin’ in My Shoes…….Sax
Reviewer: High Wyre
Positive Comments: Enjoyable track with good melody and nice transitions. Original topic / perspective. Strong instrumentation.
Constructive Comments: Had difficulty hearing all the lyrics so maybe bringing the volume of the vocal up slightly in comparison to the instrumentation would be helpful. A strong soul / funk vocalist could lift this song to the level it deserves.

Song: Missing What You Had / Pop Alt
Reviewer: High Wyre
Positive Comments: Good melodic movement with catchy parts.
Constructive Comments: I think this piece could benefit from some more upscale instrumentation ( e.g. Classic grand piano, classic acoustic guitar etc). I think this would allow the melody to shine through more. Some of the playing was slightly mis-timed.

Positive Comments: Original and different
Constructive Comments: Struggled to hear and understand the lyrics and there didn’t seem to be much of them as chunks of the song were just instrumental. That is fine if the melody carries the instrumental parts so is down to choice. The melody ( verses and hook) could do with some more melodic movement. A different instrument like guitar or piano may bring a more tuneful feel, it sounded a bit like an accordion being puffed in and out which grated on me slightly and probably didn’t do the song justice.

Positive Comments: A wonderful production. Pretty contemporary topic these days too. The life, if you wanna call it that, of a young miner…direct and to the point…separation of instruments was excellent, really looked forward to every second.
Constructive Comments: Had to listen a few times (not a bad thing eh?) Didn’t quite get the “‘ol king coal” line as the singer kinda mumbled it…thought for a bit that the “pick” was a guitar pick and he was gonna beat the mines…go off and play ….kinda like “I never picked cotton”…but that’s about it from me.

Positive Comments: A very nice recording…both guitars and both vocals eq’s differently but worked very well together. This is kind of a throwback to 60’s pop/Folk like the Seekers or We Five. Not much wrong with this one. A very pleasant listen.
Constructive Comments: Don’t think there’s enough of a song here…it begs for a 4th verse…or a bridge where there is imagery of action between the two…unless this is a dream, of course. Thought the line “cut and run” was forced in there…doesn’t make sense to me and is sung like you’re trying to fit it in.

Positive Comments: I really love this song! You did a wonderful job creating a very modern, catchy tune that could also be classified as “easy listening”. This song has a lot of potential across a wide array of opportunities. You have a great deal of talent and I very much looking forward to hearing more from you! It was a pleasure listening to your music!
Constructive Comments: I really liked this song and I wouldn’t make any changes. I very much enjoyed listening and I could hear the passion behind the written words. Your vocals were spot on and the versatility of this song is undeniable. If anything, assuming that this song is not already in final form and for the sake of complying with Broadjam’s preference for “constructive criticism”, I’d like to hear more of your lovely vocals! Perhaps working with the mix a bit and adding a bit more reverb could helo that wonderful voice really shine!
