Positive Comments: This sounds more like folky country, which is quite alright–oh no mistaking–this is Tristyn. This is a strong tune, and the thumping kick is really key. I can hear it breaking into a full beat and just killing when that happens. Oh wait you did that, but much later at 4mins in which is really late. There’s a very cool coda teaser that sounds like it should be opening up into a big rock arrangement. Lyrics and structure are very solid here. Nice work!
Constructive Comments: OK I’ll get on the vocal soapbox again–could you do this without the vocal fry (constricted throat)? If that’s not option ignore the suggestion. What about doing with a Dylan like speaking voice??? That might be a lightning strike. But…watch those falling pitch notes like ‘gla-ance’ etc.
