Positive Comments: Nice work! I enjoyed this a lot. Vocals remind me of Clapton. The tone on the guitar is really nice. This could work nicely in a movie/film/tv commercial. Lots of potential.

Constructive Comments: Just my opinion, but I would have rather heard much more from the guitar on the solo and not the organ. The organ playing didnt seem up to par with the rest of the song.

Positive Comments: That’s a groove! This could be a lost Mitch Ryder song with that strong backbeat and 500 lb bassline! Great organ and the rhythm guitar on the verses is snappy and cool. The vocal is very strong, and the backing/answering coming in on phrases “I shoulda known right then and there” and the parallel spot are really strong with a great staccato execution and punching accents (that sounds like the Moody Blues). People had hits in the 60’s and 70’s with much less…

Constructive Comments: The vocals are a bit lost in the mix due to mix level and EQ. Also the constant doubling/harmony reduces the impact I think . There’s too much turnaround time between first and second verse with no real solo fill or something to add interest–I’d slame the verses one after the other and keep the momentum. The guitar tone is a bit too processed/midrange narrow –hard to explain but I wish you could hear a bit more air and speaker crunch in it. It’s really solid work, and I’m just nitpicking

Positive Comments: Of course by now I recognize Bobby Caputo quickly. Great vocal performance as always, and the song is very strong. And probably the first use of “Grecian urn” in any song, ever. Keats would be delighted.

Constructive Comments: I’m hearing way too much high hat level with a lot of chirpy high end on it and some reverb? as well. This settles down in the verses but there’s an overall sizzle on the drums with way too much crash usage, IMO. I’d really rather hear the guitars stronger (and can’t hear bass at all). I think the vocal production may be too thick (reverb and constant doubling / harmony line). I’d like to hear it a bit more direct, although as is it’s probably style/period authentic. Solid work as always…
