Song: She’s So Seventeen
Reviewer: Jeff Roberts
Positive Comments: Tight band, sounds like a studio group. This is rocking and tuneful.
Constructive Comments: Sorry but I’m going to be honest, and it’s all just IMO. The sound of the tune is Joan Jett 1979–it has no place now on radio. The vocals sound very superimposed and artificial–a bit more reverb/delay and maybe even some mic bleed would help that. The melody & phrasing are really not working IMO–it’s very contrived with a lot of non-strategic/powerful words stretched into multiple syllables and vocal glissando and/or bends. It sounds too forced. The lyrics are very clichee, and they sound forced upon the tune. Sorry but that’s my take. It’s a musical effort and all participants have a lot of talent.
