Positive Comments: Down low for sure, nice groove and vibe.

Constructive Comments: Personally i thought the bit at the begging was a little out of place, and there sounded like a trumpet phrase in there that might want to recur as a theme and be more present, but overall a very cool groove and well done.

Song: Fearsome Blues Instrumental

Reviewer: Bill Beach

Positive Comments: Such a cool funky, bouncy, dusty back road blues. Got some nice reggae shadings and some extra fine guitar and harp work. Just the right amount of variation and dynamics. Kept my interest and foot tapping all the way. Looking to hear more of this one’s work.

Constructive Comments: Oh man, Kept waiting for the vox! Not complaining,. Makes a fine instrumental, but the is would make a super backing track for the right vocal.. Otherwise… it pretty much stands as is. Wouldn’t touch the mix. Maybe bring the bass a tiny bit.

Positive Comments: Whoa. Is it more like The Kinks or Mike and Leo? Definitely not an issue… its also quite original and really loved the false ending and song variation at the end! Good recording , especially the guitars. Liked the harmony vocals very much.

Constructive Comments: This is one of those songs you cannot decide if you are better off leaving as is or re-working. As is, it has a few (very few) tentative passages. On the other hands, messing with it runs the big risk of robbing it of its spontaneity and freshness.

Song: Save The World

Reviewer: Bill Beach

Positive Comments: Beautiful melody done justice by a great restrained vocal. The whole arrangement is simple and spare, but effective. The melody and rhythm sustain interest even at the moderate tempo. All the instruments are well played. Seems radio friendly

Constructive Comments: The songs biggest weaknesses are the laid back feel and the threat of sameness that kind of haunts it. Now, do I really want a bombastic middle eight? I don’t think so. So I guess I am mildly suggesting that a few very subtle tweaks might take this fine tune to the next level.

Positive Comments: Very well put together song. Has both the directness and the complexity of the better Elvis Costello songs. You can go down the list. Both guitars are dead on with the sparky lead work and the crunchy RG. Oh, nice vocal! Lots of feeling and attitude.

Constructive Comments: I’m not sure if you were going for hypnotic or affecting… and it is somewhere in between… that’s not really a criticism, but possibly an avenue for improvement. Maybe just a little more snap, a little crisper sound… a few more uses of dynamics.
