Positive Comments: Very commercial sound. Nice and tight, good vocals, and keyboards. Upbeat and peppy, great opportunity to be used in a film, commercial, tv, etc… Nice work!!

Constructive Comments: Needs more bottom end to the recording. May be just me, but it sounds very synthesized, so I think more bass and bottom end could help with that. Excellent tune though!

Positive Comments: Get them old time rock and roll boogie shoes on it’s time to dance.

Constructive Comments: Some of the sax lines are nice, they are also a little stiff with no real articulation and I don’t think I ever heard an altered blues note, but the lines themselves were fluid and not bad. Same with the guitar lines, no bad notes , pretty fluid, but lacks depth in note choice and phrasing. Overall that’s the criticism, just kind of stiff and one dimensional. Not bad though.

Positive Comments: I’m sorry cause English is not my mother language, I didN’t rate the lyrics. It’s not my favorite genre – but I think it’s well done. I like the vocals, good in tune and with power. The instrumental part sounds good, but as typical in this genre it’s most time the same.

Constructive Comments: can’t say anything critical – good luck

Positive Comments: Gorgeous song. INCREDIBLE Guitar work. As a dad, this one hit me hard. Very reminiscent of James Taylor, and could fit easily into the landscape of modern singer/songwriter songs. What beautiful imagery. Fantastic vocals, clear recording. Well mixed. I’d love to sing this one…and I’ll be listening multiple times…just because I want to.

Constructive Comments: I honestly can’t think of a thing. I so enjoyed listening to this piece. I’m heading to download it as soon as I get done with this review.

Positive Comments: This song could EASILY find its place among modern hip-hip and pop radio. Great concept. Reminds me a little of B.O.B. and even a little Jay-Z form the early 2000’s. The track grooves heavily, and I found myself bobbing my head the whole time.

Constructive Comments: Constructively, most of what I have to say has to do with the track itself. The rap vocal is solid…great phrasing and tone. But the guitar work is a little distracting. From the beginning, the rhythm acoustic is out of tune, and it was hard to get past for me. Also the solo felt a little unnecessary. It didn’t really “say” anything melodically, to me. i would rather have heard some more of what’s going on in the rest of the track. I loved the synth tracks, and the bass drops., could have done with some more from those. Loved the hook, and the vocal there. The only other thing I have is the overall mix. It’s a little harsh on the high frequencies and light on the bass and low mids. And because of this, the overall track just doesn’t punch like it could. The beat could use a tune-up in the eq. The snare feels a little too harsh, and the kick could be warmed up and tuned up in the high mids to add punch. A little clean up sonically, and I think you have a hit here.

Positive Comments: From the opening notes, I knew I would enjoy this one. Excellent playing. Really great acoustic tone! I especially love the double stop bends, sort of imitating a slide. Solid, clean flatpicked moving lines in the lead acoustic! Obviously really great right hand technique. Easy to listen to, would work well as a background to a nature film, or weather report, or driving scene in a film or tv show. Just a very nice tune overall.

Constructive Comments: Constructively I don’t have a whole lot. The major things I heard have to do with the mix, and the arrangement. First off, it’s obvious this piece is meant to focus on the guitars, and thats great. But the drums are pretty buried in the overall mix, and as such the piece loses a little bit of drive. Again, GREAT guitar playing. But I felt like the 3 guitar tracks battled each other a bit, especially early on. There was a whole lot of arpeggiating and plat picking, but not enough simple, straight rhythm. You weren’t sure exactly what to focus on as a lead instrument. It felt a little like you just went for it out of the gate, and put all your best lines in this song…but I’ll give you the same advice I got from Vince Gill. You don’t have to play every lick you know in this song. Pick and choose where you want to show off, and let your melody shine. You have a good melodic structure to this piece, but i think it got a little overshadowed by your desire to show off your obviously developed chops. Little polishing, and this could be a real winner for you.

Positive Comments: Really enjoyed the lyrics and the story of this song. The sound and feel reminds me of Stoney Larue, and maybe even Cody Jinks. Even has a little bit of Townes Van Zandt in the lead vocal. Good melody, easy to predict, but not overly predictable. The arrangement I felt worked nicely as a vehicle for the story. You felt the loneliness and longing of the subject, and the absolutely universal feeling of “what if”, from the narrator. I think this one has great potential to be picked up and re-recorded by an act!

Constructive Comments: Constructively, this definitely felt like a demo. The recording was a little rough sonically. but I imagine thats the idea. It feels like a pitch song, and thats great. The lyrics and melody work well together, but the hook didn’t quite grab me. I had to go back and listen a couple of times to remember what it sounded like. The arrangement is nice, and feels good. But it gets a little bit monochromatic after awhile. I feel like this song could use a bit of a tempo boost. I love the somber tone, but it drags just a bit too much for my taste. I think a bit quicker tempo could help move the story a long a bit more. Take a listen to the song “Birds” by Cody Jinks. I think this song could have a feel very similar. Still feeling the somber. melancholy groove. But it drives a little as well. Overall, nice work. I would love to hear more of your songs. Hell, I’d like to PLAY one of your songs. Cheers.

Constructive Comments: only thing i can suggest is bringing the vocals up so that the lyrics are understandable and follow a format breaking the verse and the chorus parts up cause its hard to understand because the sections are not broken up especially being a christian song you have to have things simplified so people can be reached through your music and message
