Constructive Comments: This song has really has alot of potential, but you have to work on the mix. I want more depth, base, rythm, better mixing. This could definatelly become a hit if you fix those things!

Song: Chasing Me

Positive Comments: I really liked this song. It has a good groove and great lyrics.
Constructive Comments: I would consider having a shorter intro. It is about 30 seconds before the lyrics start. The song is a little long by radio standards (4:42). I always think it is best to get to the lyrics as soon as possible. There is another section at about 3:55 to 4:22 with the “La la la” that I think could be shorter. It doesn’t really add anything to the song. These suggestions would shorten the song by almost a minute that would put it in a good range for radio play.

Song: I Don’t Know
Reviewer: Dave Haddad (CenterPeace)
Positive Comments: Very electronic sound for rock. Good production on the backing tracks. Serious vibe on this song. I like the melodic sense throughout… all sections are pleasant and well set up. Cool break at 1:50Very interesting rhythm change up we can call a bridge? Very nice listen, there are surprises and always pay-offs here. The production is very good and I can hear the love that went in to the recording process… Great job!! I hope you know that you captured a moment, an emotion, something totally unique and never done exactly like this. A little Bowie mixed with GnR and some classic synth-rock movements late 80’s and 90’s. Just sayin
Constructive Comments: Lead vocal sounds a little ‘muttled’. The whole track is generally heavy with synths imo. I’m not sure what happened at 2:07 but the beat goes severely off, all was grooving so well, it’s like someone bumped the turntable…. Then 16 bars later things get ok for 1 bar then you pull a 3 feel with worked. Then more experimental drums around 3 minutes and this definitely worked, reminded me of Missing Persons. It was a good change after the abrupt drums (for me) just prior.

Song: Flow Power Flow Instrumental

Positive Comments: Nice professional recording sounding great right out of the box. Love the live sounding tracks!! That is a good drum loop (the chopped cymbal crash at the top gives it away). Great ‘room’ drum sounds and if it’s live it’s very groovy and consistent. Generally a good mix… everything blended very well, I can hear every instrument well and in a decent relationship. Great sounding track! Nice smooth progression and the performances are good.
Constructive Comments: Feels a little like background tracks for a vocal song. If it is meant to be an instrumental then I think the harmonica needed to be panned closer to center and more concise of a melody. Ok loud guitar solo, this must be music minus the lead vocal. A little hiccup in the groove at 2:13… ooops, really try to fix those if possible. And a bad pop at the very end 2:59. Strive for better production, it helps people ‘hear’ your song and not the little blemishes. You need to be as professional as possible, this is a great sounding track just those few ‘gaffs’ brings it’s value down. Guitar solo was too loud in relation to the rest of the track since I’m talking mix.

Positive Comments: Pleasant song to listen to, leaves me feeling fulfilled and stress free…. I forgot about my day listening to this song. Strong melody with the song building nicely and more by the end it hooks you. Slight Metheny vibe :-))
Constructive Comments: Mix seems to be a little bass heavy, needs eq cut around 80hz to 315hz. Bad edit and the groove skips at :55, really pay close attention and try to tighten up all the production and recording blemishes. Sounds a little old, hiss at the top, I can’t help commenting on production things because it is an important element, bad production (this is not bad but could be better) inhibits the listeners ability to ‘hear’ your song properly. I feel like the melody is more prominent in the end than in the beginning… more layers or it is doubled… perhaps just mixed louder at that point and I do know how when recording you might get into it more and play with more feeling and intensity as the song progresses. Normally I will ‘dog’ a programmed drum track but this was done pretty well, it’s grooving… only the same fill over and over every 4 bars… I know, you’re working with what you have. With a more ‘chillin’ drum track this song could set well in the jazz genre… live drums would change everything here! Best of luck, you have a good sound and I like your song.

Song: We Don’t Need Another War
Reviewer: Jeff Maguire
Positive Comments: Nice piano and vocal work make this message song work, certainly suitable for many commercial application.
Constructive Comments: It’s a well trodden topic and while the lyrics are written fairly well it isn’t adding anything to the topic that hasn’t been said many times better. Not that this is bad, but it’s not going to compete with ” Blowing In the Wind ” or ” Masters of War ” or for that matter ” Give Peace A Chance ” … that said, the vocals are strong, and the piano and guitar suitably support the melody and the tone of the song, so I could definitely see this getting used in the right commercial film or story context. Good luck with it.
