Positive Comments: First off….the quality and sound of the instrumentation is excellent! The song flows nicely and the movement is quite interesting, nice ebbs & flows in the melodic composition! I do think this piece has market value and could be used in documentaries and travel logs. Overall, an extremely satisfying tune!!!

Positive Comments: Sold blues riff in a timeless form with ZZ Top Overtones.

Constructive Comments: Everything is sold, tone is very nice, riff is ok, just lacks that thing that makes it a unique and truly kick ass piece of music. Something like a REALLY memorable riff, great melody, totally ripping guitar solo, or just lyrics and a great voice. Organ helps, but I might bring that in up front, maybe get some lines going on between the organ and guitar melodies, a real arrangement, and overall shorten it to about 3 1/2 minutes or so . There wasn’t anything much longer than that on the original blues breakers album, or most ZZ Top. Get in, smoke em, get out.

Positive Comments: Instrumental was excellent, although it would definitely benefit from a studio recording of the piece. There’s a hint of Paul Mccartney in the piece, which to me is a real plus.

Constructive Comments: It had an abrupt end, and the recording was certainly not broadcast quality, but the music was exceptional. I enjoyed listening to it, and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Positive Comments: This song had me hooked from the start. The understated piano intro led into this amazing vocal with a child-like metaphor of hide and go seek, which is artfully laced throughout the whole song. My favorite lyric: I’m me everyday. The singer is urging his girlfriend to trust him he is NOT going to change and that message comes through poignantly, beautifully. And the voice? Wow! The voice is incredible: soulful, heartfelt, great inflections and emotion. It’s the kind of voice that just grabs you as honest and believable…which is just what this song is trying to accomplish. Triple bravo!

Positive Comments: You never know what you’re going to encounter when you review Soundtracks, but this one was a fun surprise. The intro was the big surprise: dogs barking, kids playing (which also appear in the outro). But the strong point in this song is the really catchy guitar lick that recurs throughout the piece. It’s technically difficult to play, but this artist pulls it off beautifully.

Constructive Comments: Not sure about the marketability of the dogs barking and kids playing and “on your mark, get set, bang” part, but otherwise, wow, you’ve got some great stuff here. So…why the dogs, etc? I am sure you have a reason!

Positive Comments: Here’s a positive, upbeat song with a message that’s bound to encourage every listener. The lyrics are thoughtfully written and reach out to people of all ages and walks of life. The lyrics and melody of the song go together well. I like what this songwriter has to say and I hope that he’s singing it out there for a lot of people and lifting them up. That is what our art is supposed to do…lift the human spirit, and this artist does it so well! Nice instrumentation and production, too!

Constructive Comments: The song stands well…but I think a catchier, simpler chorus might be an improvement. The verses are very wordy, so a simpler chorus might serve this song well. Soul shine is the way to go. Light shine is … over-used. You could create a really great chorus with those 2 words, I think.

Constructive Comments: I think the instruments sounds very much like midi-instruments, without and depth. You should try to change the samples to, especially the strings. Otherwise nice song!

Positive Comments: A different angle on the usual country stories and “she thinks the world of me” is very positive compared to the many sad and poignant songs in this genre. Clear and accurate vocals and a very catchy tune that sticks in the mind. Good guitar playing going on throughout.

Constructive Comments: This is simply my opinion, the arrangement and production could do with more depth and power. I’ve been trying to figure out what seems missing and I song could do with a solid rhythm going on (maybe acoustic guitar or keyboard?) to provide a background for the well played clean/jangly guitars over the top? This is emphasised by having these guitars panned far out on either side, which leaves the middle of the mix lacking drive.Please don’t think this being negative, I really like the song. I believe in passing constructive comments and try not to offend but it is always your choice to take notice or not. Lots of luck with your song. Bob

Positive Comments: I like the very loose instrumental arrangement and playing. Very haphazard, but really cool. I like it. I also like the chorus. Catchy and something you can sing along with. This is a unique tune and arrangement. Not the usual stuff you hear, and I like that alot.

Constructive Comments: I might put the vocal a bit higher in the mix. You might benefit from the Waves CLA Vocals plugin. It’ll add depth and bring the voice right out.
