Positive Comments: It’s a cartoon cat and mouse routine! Well, that is what came to mind when I played this Unique-Unclassified track on Broadjam. It brought a smile to my face. This sounds like it could be in cartoons. My second thought is – creative! We had fun listening to this. This would also do well playing at a carnival or amusement park music system.

Constructive Comments: This is fun and original. Playing at the usual 33% volume when reviewing we sort of noticed that this is slightly loud. A few of the instruments, although really nicely EQ’d, could have fit a little better. A few parts, the bell seemed a little too much in the upper frequencies. Still, after listening to this twice and an ear adjustment – this just became fun to listen to. Thanks and have a grand day.

Positive Comments: When I was playing this, my mom yelled at me to turn it down. No way! I like this electronic groovy music. I’m gonna play this when my BFF comes over on Friday nights so we can jiggle and let loose. My dog, Winkles, was interested when I played this, he kept sniffing the speakers. I tried to get my dad to listen but he’s too focused on barbecue chicken. Oh well. Nice music!

Constructive Comments: It is obvious that there is a good mixer with this production. I do think the vocal aspect could either have been removed or enhanced – as I do not understand what she is saying and doesn’t serve much of a purpose. I don’t think this is New Age – I classified it as electronic. The laughing part confused me. I did not realize there as an “ocean/wave” pad playing until the very end (last notes). Please remember these are just the thoughts of a scraggly hobbit up in the woods somewhere – I don’t get out much. Have a great day.

Positive Comments: I really like this song!! Very original references to the various artists to make a back story. Some nice twists in the framework of the song, going away very subtly from being a predictable tune. High quality vocals and instrumentals, in a very well produced track. I was eagerly awaiting a guitar break but the song is not short so I assume there was no room for one. Good discipline – leave them wanting more!

Constructive Comments: No criticism, just an observation. To me, the “mmmmmm” section immediately after Taj Mahal feels like something has been left out. That same place elsewhere in the song is very effective. I love the track and wish you well with it.

Song: I Get The Bird

Reviewer: Bob Bentley

Positive Comments: A very original twist on an old subject – breaking up. Who’d have expected a custody battle over a flamingo? This is a fun song with a catchy chorus. High standard instrumentation, well produced.

Constructive Comments: In a couple of parts it felt as though the tune and the lyrics were created separately so that the singer was struggling to fit the lyrics into the tune, especially “honey, you get the bird”.It’s a fun song that made me smile. Good luck with it.

Positive Comments: I really enjoyed this fiddle/vocal extravaganza. I don’t know much about fiddle playing but it seemed to be of a very high quality.I thought the song very original in the way it painted the picture of three sisters playing together. Vocals were tight – I assume they were three different people, if not recording the song would have been technically challenging, to say the least.Well done.

Constructive Comments: Not being a fiddle player, or knowing much about the technicalities, I’m not in a position to make any suggestions. Good luck with the song, I like it – a lot.

Constructive Comments: This is a feel good song. The only thing I would suggest is the bottom end could be a little cleaner. Somewhere in the 200 to 400 hz range. Other than that, nice song keep up the good work.

Song: Small Town Affair – Instrumental

Reviewer: Jeff Maguire

Positive Comments: Very unique instrumental piece, sounds like riding down the highway in a 52 Ford with a Casio keyboard and a bottle of orange crush.

Constructive Comments: The writing here is quite good, the recording not so good. Maybe to much reverb. A few of the instruments are questionable, but the melody and movement between sections is very nice. I’d say you have a sellable piece of music with a distinct vibe that just needs some tweaking and a clearer recording.

Song: Listen To What I Say

Reviewer: James Neilson Graham

Positive Comments: Intriguing. Southern African origins? Tidy percussion and authentic vocals onto which are skilfully grafted cowbells(?), choir and jazzy trumpet. I sense a significant message in the oft repeated mesmeric refrain but do not have access to the language. A note of desperation enters with the new voice towards the end, ‘It is true what I say’. Experimental music that really works.

Constructive Comments: All pluses from me.
