Positive Comments: I really enjoyed the feel of this song. It has a great alt-country vibe to it reminiscent of the red dirt country scene. This song would fit right in line with what I hear from Mickey and the Motorcars and Reckless Kelly, but reminds me especially of Jay Farrar and Son Volt from back in the 90’s. I could see this song being updated and picked up for sure.
Constructive Comments: The most of what I have to say constrictively has to do with the recording and performance. The playing is pretty choppy, and the vocals are pitchy in spots. The guitar tone feels a little bit electronic, and the overall recording feels rough and unpolished. I think it works perfectly well as a demo to pitch to another artist, and maybe thats the idea. But I just don’t see this being picked up as an as-is recording. I’m excited to see what comes of the song itself, though! I enjoyed listening,
