Positive Comments: Nice little jazz jam. I’m a sucker for Rhodes/Wurlitzer based tunes. The balance is great and I like the pace and feeling of this.

Constructive Comments: Over all, I like this. It might be fun to take this outside of the Dm7 key center to maybe something like a Bbm9 for awhile just to add some added interest, but it works pretty well just the way it is.

Positive Comments: Balance was good,, vocals out front, simple uncluttered backup.

Constructive Comments: Just a couple ideas: it sounded like the voice was recorded a little hot, overdriven, but maybe it was a radio effect. I think it would be a better demo if the vocal was recorded clean, maybe just a little reverb/delay to thicken it up. You might want to add a bridge to set up the final verse.I hope they made it……..

Misty Morning by FRED GROSS

Song: Misty Morning

Reviewer: Jeff Maguire

Positive Comments: Nice clean Robert Cray sound in a traditional R&B style blues vamp .

Constructive Comments: Tone is nice, playing is decent, but IMO doesn’t really justify almost 4 minutes of just soloing. There is no real sense of motive or development. The vibe is nice and cool, put some lyrics behind it and it could fly. One pet peeve of my own perhaps, is the full stopping between choruses … again … IMO … that is extremely distracting and prevents soloist from developing long lines and phrases that extend across bar lines. Playing through most breaks generally improves flow. If your goal is to make it to the weather channel you might be ok as is.

Positive Comments: We have a big munchkin family and my family loves my homemade deep-fried chicken tenders on Friday nights. It gets quite messy here in the kitchen on this night – and there is much to do. My kids played this electronic music full-blast in our kitchen for Family Chickie-Tender Night – OMG, this is perfect for pacing out the dredging in flour, dunking in egg yolks the many pounds of chickie-tenders and fryin’ it all up – “Oh yeah, honey!” This music get’s me into the groove of things! Thank you to my kids and to Mr. or Ms. Electronic Music Composer!

Constructive Comments: When we first played this we thought it was Mario game or something. This is a ‘traditional’ electronic track. Stephen says to burn this on a CD and take it to the local club DJs and get it played. Have a great day today.

Positive Comments: We hobbits of old herebyish declare that this synthaholica-electronica-mooey-gooey piece of music to be our theme music, that must always be heard in our kitchens when we’s hobbits be making our favorite chocolate chip cookies, fudgeling brownies and anything super-rich and thick with sugary goodness. Signed herewith tofor on this day Thrumsday of the Hobbitons Kitchening Compliances Council.

Constructive Comments: The beginning seems weak in the percussion depth, punch. This is a ‘traditional’ electronic piece reminds me of the game Mario or something similar. The halo pad/voice pad was really cool. Our music club had fun listening to this. We do think the drums could be more real. Have a good day!

Positive Comments: First song I’ve reviewed in a long time that I can say that I REALLY like! This is pop at its best. Super simple, super catchy.

Constructive Comments: I think your chorus needs to have a different harmonic structure somehow, to break up the monotony, but I love the way you got the rhythms and the melodies right – they stretch and snap like elastic. Love it! Well done!
