Song: Believe In Me

Positive Comments: The piano sounds convincing. The tempo is very deliberate and steady but it seems to ebb and flow like the tide. Piano velocity choices are really strong. The softer notes almost seem like notes themselves. I hope that makes sense. The strings run along the base of the song, underscoring the underscore. I like the looooong sound. I would use this song in a scene where hard memories are the subject.

Constructive Comments: The room size on the reverb certainly makes the entire piece more dreamlike. If that is your choice that is fine but it makes the song sound “less live” Room sizes can really have a huge effect on the feel of the song. There is nothing wrong with the room size of course. I just noticed it and wondered if it would sound better with a smaller room. The hook seems familiar and unremarkable but that can sell a song in the film industry. Nice work.

Constructive Comments: I really like this and I have nothing to add or detract. So, with that in mind I’m gonna go read me a book! Thank you for this and I hope you have a great day.

Positive Comments: There is a candy store around the block and I love going in there. The people at the store make some really yummy things. I would love this slow electronic music playing in my headphones as I am perusing the chocolates, the cremes, the fiddle faddles – they’re all so yum.

Constructive Comments: In my opinion only, I think much work is needed on this music piece to make it more marketable. Many of the instruments in the recording could use some work (EQ/Mixing) to bring more depth and fullness, some instruments stick out more than others. The cadence and chord progression doesn’t really lead the listener to any point. The dryness of the strings could be improved with some careful reverb and stereo enhancement during the mixing. And, please remember, until now, we have never heard this piece of music and we know nothing about the artist or how it was created. Have a happy new year!

Positive Comments: So yeah, I’ve been sitting here a while. I put the frozen chicken in the microwave and I’m just sitting here, watching the chicken go round and round and round – thawing out with microwaves. This avant garde music is perfect for staring through microwave oven windows.

Constructive Comments: Not too much to go on here with this being avant garde. No beat, no music, just sounds. Which is cool. I took of marks for many things and did not classify this as a song. This may have market potential as a game level music maybe or some eerie or haunting setting. Halloween haunted houses could use this for ambience. Please remember, we have never heard this sound until just now and we do not know anything about the artist or how it was created. A simple person out in the world wishing you a happy new year.

Positive Comments: I like to listen to this kind of electronic trance on my headphones when I’m making milkshakes all day. Hey, it’s a job! It does get boring and hard to make milkshakes 5 days a week. Ugh. But I do enjoy working here at Little Bob’s Burger Joint. With this music in my ear buds, I can do it – no problem! I can definitely make milkshakes all day – woohoo! Hey, you want more strawberry in your milkshake?

Constructive Comments: This piece has all the elements for a curious electronic trance track. I think people at the club would enjoy this at some point on a Saturday night. Definitely gets me into a groove. Hope you have a happy new year!

Positive Comments: Sometimes work gets really crazy and I find myself up at 3 a.m. on a Saturday night, writing programming code like that dude in “The Matrix”. This electronic track will get me into the groove while I’m trying to find Morpheus.

Constructive Comments: There’s a strange combo going on in the composition – but it works. It keeps the listener’s ear. This would be good on a Saturday night. Nice bass elements. I took off marks for instrumentation and recording because I thought some of the sounds could be more warm or possibly a divisi and panned to the back for some more weirdness 🙂 Please remember, we are just simple people out in the world and have never heard this before and don’t know who made this or how it was made. We listened to this three times in our music review. We wish you a happy 2017!

Positive Comments: I like to listen to electronic ambient music like this for when I’m putting the finishing touches on a cake I am decorating. We make lots of cakes here, this is perfect for frosting things, icing things, doing swirly thingamajiggies and artsy stuff with frosting. Frosting is big here and this music playing in our bakery will surely entice customers to buy more frosted goodies we make. Yeah for frosting!

Constructive Comments: There was no introduction to set the environment for the listener – which, obviously, this being ambient, an introductory section is needed to let the listener adjust to the environment being presented in the recording. When I was reviewing I thought of a bakery – maybe it’s the curious flutish sound/keypad that triggers the image. I think a few spots the drums could be more present in the mix. This was a fun piece to review. I hope you have a great day!

Positive Comments: I like to listen to this kind of music when I am scrubbing the heck out of our dirty, greasy, grimey pots and pans after dinner. This would also be perfect music for vacuuming the carpet, sweeping out cobwebs in the garage and glueing things together for my art project. My friend, Brittany, says she likes this kind of music when she’s trying out new makeup and taking overly-dramatic selfies.

Constructive Comments: I guess you could say this put me to sleep, which, if that was intentional – you did it! And, hey, I’m all for music that puts me to sleep because warm milk at night doesn’t sit to well with my tummy, this music would be better. This music is electronic experimental – letting the listener create their own imagery – which explains my first part of this review. This is unique so I don’t know what to say for constructive comments. On the third play-through of this I was reminded of a game level somewhere where somebody is searching for something perhaps. I hope you have a great day today!

Positive Comments: I played this twice before writing, simply because it is electronic experimental and I wanted to hear the entire idea first to see if this experiment works. And, Yes! It does. When I was listening to this, I guess because of the guitar and the elements of the bass and percussion elements took me perhaps to a time in the 50s where drag races occurred, perhaps in rural area somewhere. Back then, young people came together for fun, thrills and drag racing or just to see how fast they could push the Chevy. A movie clip perhaps with this lightly playing in the back seems interesting to me.

Constructive Comments: I think this should come out of experimental and into jazz, smooth jazz – as it seems to all be going on. I listened to this a few times and was very enjoyable. Have a great day.
