Song: Last Free Man In America

Positive Comments: This has a rock feel with a country touch that makes it a little hard for me to categorize (I hate categorizing anyway) but it does come across strong. The arrangement and instrumentation fit the song well.

Constructive Comments: I think the harmonies should be brought out more in the mix because they work very well and add a lot to the chorus. The lead guitar also gets a little lost. Being even more picky, I would also do more with the bass line because there is room for its expansion in the arrangement.

Constructive Comments: Short is good but a journey that takes you somewhere instead of a traffic light would be better.Add some contrast to the mix for the audience to remember, TSW.

Constructive Comments: How about adding some horns like a trumpet or some kind of variety section of the brass instruments to make it more sexy. Good job, TSW.

Positive Comments: Interesting for sure, but can’t quite pin point the genre. Very welcoming, sociable, and the volume is light and easy. Not bad.

Constructive Comments: Why don’t you increase the volume and clear up the clutter and define your arrangement, and then you got something better. Still like the original. Give you a low 5 for now. Good job, TSW.

Positive Comments: A really nice tribute to SWAMP BOOGIE…The band is in sync and keeps the groove smooth. The arrangement is classic. The story is a tried and true one that is very easy to tie in with.

Constructive Comments: I somewhat like the vocal approach. There were a few times where I could not discern the words, which very easily could be me. I never heard a real HOOK. I am sure it is there I may have missed it entirely it happens. I was also looking for a slight dynamic change to wrinkle my ear a little. This is a cool tune. Good luck with it!!!

Positive Comments: Although it may seem otherwise to you, I REALLY LIKE THIS PIECE.I just don’t feel as though it is finished. You have a lot of places where you can put an exclamation point on an idea. the playing is clear and decisive. I didn’t hear a definitive hook I did hear a lilting lazy theme that has a haunting quality. This tune has a lot of room to grow…play with it!!!

Constructive Comments: My constructive comments were in my first response. They are ALL positive. You have a warm sound and clean play. I look forward to hearing more from you.
