Positive Comments: I like to listen to this kind of electronic music when I am polishing my shoes arranging my pet rock collection or when I’m making pancakes in the shape of jelly fish. It’s kind of hard to do. Making jelly fish blob pancakes, that is. This kind of heavy beat funk music is perfect for feeding my parrot, playing croquet with Greg and moving toy army soldiers on crayon colored papers. I like to fry eggs up in the evenings pretty much all the time – so I’m going start playing this…

Constructive Comments: I think this needs an introductory segment to set the sound environment for the listener. The canned beat is very noticeable and if that is what you are shooting for – then you got it spot on. I think with some musicality added into this you could have a more dynamic piece of music. I listened to this three times because of the groove. I hope you have a great holiday. And remember, these are only the thoughts of an old man up in the woods somewhere. 🙂

Positive Comments: With a few fixes,it should be ready for TV or Film. It goes through many changes, which I like.

Constructive Comments: Hey, one of my songs starts exactly the same way. Low deep sound. At 0:03 and 0:13 blips sound more like mistakes, flaws in the recording. I think you should take them all out. At 1:13 when the female vocal comes in, however created, there’s higher-pitched noise created. At 1:37, it briefly stops, I think it’s too void there. I thought that was the end for a split second. Maybe prior to that point, create a background and continue it through that brief pause and thereafter and fade it away, the background, that is. So, there’s continuity carrying through.

Positive Comments: Wow, loved the clear, beautiful voice. Such great tone. Could be a young Ella Fitzgerald. This song would be outstanding for a children’s tv show placement or even tv commercial background. Your range really shines in this song and your pitch and intonation are outstanding!!!Maybe even change keys once for a lift. Would be cool yo maybe get some local chrdren’s choir or middle school chorus to back you up.:-)

Constructive Comments: Maybe record a 2nd version as crossing into jazz, doing a few more jazz chords in keyboard section And scat. Such s besuyiful vocal, I know you are capable of many styles. Loved it! I really can hear this being used commercially in children’s programs, like an anti- bullying show. Turn someone’s day around for good, instead of bullying.

Constructive Comments: At 0:32 and at 1:06 are miss-hits on the guitar. A little rough on timing coming up on the 1:06 and right thereafter. Nice penny whistle or whatever it is.

Positive Comments: Well, that is different. And I like different. I listened to it twice. The last third of the song was a change and that was fine. Good luck with your music.

Constructive Comments: What the heck is the low rumbling sound in the intro. Cut it out!! Genre is more like “standards”, they used to call them, whatever category that is. Definitely not Smooth Jazz. I’ve listened twice and still haven’t followed the lyrics closely. And I used to write lyrics regularly. But, this music draws me away from the lyrics. I’m guessing the hook is “More Alive”. Most of the instruments and vocal are very good at performing, but the sax solo is kind of rough. I love sax. Not that I play one.

Positive Comments: Pleasant little tune. I listened twice.

Constructive Comments: Nice chords. More contemp. jazz, and not so much Smooth Jazz. Smooth Jazz is more of a jazz rock thing. Guitar sometimes sounds out of tune on middle strings, like you are playing a fretless guitar and some fingers are slightly up or down too far. Other times it sounds in tune. Intonation?? Timid playing. Could be a little more direct, bolder playing. A beat would be nice. As you know, count your beats and set any kind of beat device to it and then record. Chop the beginning and end beats off. Then, if you wanted, others, maybe on BJ could add a sax, trumpet, piano melody and bass. It could sound great.

Positive Comments: I like to play this kind of music when I am baking cakes frosting pastries making up gooey yummy things or cooking big batches of bacon. This track is awesome. The lady singing in this song gets me into a cooking groove – I love to cook! I see myself totally can getting into a cake frosting frenzy groove with many cakes while I play this kind of music. Thank you for this!

Constructive Comments: I took off marks because there was a “thickness” in the bass holding this back a bit. That light keypad in the back, could have added more play with the vocalist, back and forth. It doesn’t really go anywhere and I think a remix could add much to this. Hope you have a great holiday!

Positive Comments: Suzie Cue wakes up to her big bold sunshiney day again as she starts each and every day with a ritual. First, she needs to take a sit with her plastic blue kitty cat which she pets for about 5 minutes. And then she’s off to make some Triple-Coated and Triple-Sugared and Triple-Colored Keeorn Flakes – to give her the energy she’ll need to get out the door and into Pizzicato Cereal Land – where every day is a bowl of cereal, every day a sun shiney blast full of sugary teddy bears, licorice baubles and beadly-like cotton candy clouds. Suzie always forgets to comb her hair and she seems a little wiley around the edges, but that’s because the sugary thick mists of Flavorville Gem Land keep her wide-eyed and bushy-tailed – so to speak.

Constructive Comments: I would not really categorize this as either New Age or Tribal and more Unique or Electronic. There is a repetitive nature that seemed a little bothersome. I listened to this four times in my review to make sure what I type in this little white box is correct. I like many elements in this piece. It sounds more like a backing for a game level – which is not a bad thing – good thing actually. As for entering any competition in New Age or Tribal – without a re-do in the mixing and instrumentation – this would not do well. It is unique and enjoyable. I hope you have a nice holiday! And don’t mind me, cuz my mother dropped me on my head when I was a baby once.

Positive Comments: This is the kind of music I like to listen to when I’m polishing my silver coins or doing my hair really big or making tapioca pudding. I put this on my playlist for later, because, actually, I would like to listen to this while I’m going about the house, looking for dust bunnies. My bro says this music would be nice for his unicycle act and Jesse says he’s gonna put this on his headphones for tonight. He has a competition at the bowling alley. Over-n-out!

Constructive Comments: The drum’s EQ could be better for more sharpness. This is experimental so it’s kinda like on it’s own. Definitely, though, the drums being more present would add drama to this. Some of the other effects could have work done in the EQ to bring elements to real life. I hope you have a happy holiday season!

Positive Comments: This is electronic music I like to listen to when I’m moving chess pieces around for no particular reason or when I’m ironing my hair before going out. Right now though, I’m trying to get these cheese puffs caught between the sofa cushions. I think the drum beat groove in this funky instrumental is gonna take me to over to the seedy district tonight or perhaps I’ll see Johnny at the PlunkMeDown Lounge. This music is full of funky wunky chunky musical chocolate chips that are just perfect before I head out the door. How’s my hair look?

Constructive Comments: I think another EQ pass on the drum elements, could bring this more dynamics. It’s a unique piece of combination of sounds and chords making it difficult to be constructive about other elements. Regarding the mixing, the drum elements in the beginning could have been better. The rest of the piece, the hitting of the drum is good. I think more of that wah wah effect could have been soloed for an even more funkier sound. Have a great holiday!
