Positive Comments: Quite unique, nice to hear something a bit different. Can’t decide whether it’s jazz or rock! Like the voice too. Nice to hear some accomplished arranging and variation that gives this tune some stand out qualities after a lot of what I’ve just reviewed.

Positive Comments: Thought I was listening to Picture This by Blondie in the first few bars! Quality recording.

Constructive Comments: At 42 seconds into the tune I want to hear the track kick into the next gear with a rhythm track underneath. Without that kick in the pants the tune stays flat for me. When the drums do come in later on they are too fussy. Keep it straight with a simple 4/4 Rock beat. My 0.02 cents worth!

Constructive Comments: Difficult to score properly without a melody line, but so far so good. Would like to hear a rhythm track come in about a third of the way through.

Positive Comments: Don’t know if it’s intentional but a very Pink Floyd feel to this tune. Some lovely vocal harmonies too. When the chorus kicks in I can hear Comfortably Numb. (Floyd).

Constructive Comments: For me the chorus needs tightening up, as it seems slightly disjointed. Other than that a nice job.

Positive Comments: Like the groove and the understated voice used for the passing stabs. Also love the waterfall type sound that pops up every now and again. Very reminiscent of the amazing track Money Can’t Buy It by Annie Lennox.

Constructive Comments: Only thing slightly negative is the overall sound, particulRly the rhythm track, which I like, but is equally dated.

Positive Comments: Really compelling vocal performance here with a story that grabs the listener. I like the minimal arrangement that jumps into action on the choruses.

Constructive Comments: There’s a room echo in the vocal that works against you. That could be fixed, even with the same room, by getting closer to the mic. I’d drop the synth part–this should be all acoustic/electric. The arrangement should maybe progress into a more full, driven section at some point. This is really interesting and original work.
