Positive Comments: You will start your journey in some jungles far away in a distant land then you will be transported musically to the deserts of Taos-3 … oh, but let’s not stop there … the flute and the nice distortion guitar comes in to take you to Paleus Prime, the jewel of the Kalon Galaxy with the tribes of the Meelo Bloobians, known for their knowledge of the rune of Ye’Ken.

Constructive Comments: The flutish/keyboard instrument strikes me a little. I enjoyed listening to this many times before writing. I love that distortion guitar nice fit. I think the guitar could have been a tad more present in the EQ, not by much. A few rumbles from big drums would have been nice to give more drama. But don’t listen to me, we are the hairy feeted hobbits up in the woods. Have a great day!

Positive Comments: Ooh… nice. This ensemble will take you on a journey, starting somewhere in the deep jungles of the Amazon perhaps with a flute and drums oh, but let’s not stay there, let’s continue our travel through some pastures of 5 feet tall daffodils a French bakery caught in a time warp maybe? It’s all so surreal as the journey pauses with a distortion guitar lightly placed in the back to take you to the Oceans of Timius with the 20 feet spires of gold. Recommended!

Constructive Comments: I took marks off for Arrangement and Recording, because on my first play through it seemed a tad thick (mid-lower end freq) in the mix and I think the horns could have been EQd better. Minor beans though, as I liked it very much. I played this a few times through before writing.

Positive Comments: Documentarian: So yeah, there’s this partygoer who’s had too much to drink and too much of other things and it’s late on a Saturday night and this person is meandering through this dance club … this person has ingested too much naughty stuff that he/she can barely make out what is sung by the vocalist and is caught up in this bass/kick drum groove and haunting chord progression that is compelling … urging the partygoer to let loose on the dance floor. [Drops cue card.] Off-air: Are you sure this is the script? Off-air: Yep!

Constructive Comments: The vocal on this should be re-recorded as I do not understand what she is singing so, enunciation and presence in the EQ. I think, in parts the nice full bass and all that is going on is competing with the vocalist.

Constructive Comments: Was that a reverse-reverb/reverse cymbal in the mix? I liked it! I had already listened to this three times before typing anything here. First 30 seconds, on the first play, I thought – hmmm… – strange – and then it all came together quickly and I enjoyed it. I was surprised actually. Can’t really say anything negative – it’s captivating, nice production quality.
