Constructive Comments: Same as above, great tune, I love it. Playing is all dead in the pocket. I really wanted to say the title should be ” Not Messin With The Kid ” because of the intro riff, but I suppose Watering Hole is better.

Positive Comments: This probably would favor 60’s British invasion styles. Done well for that genre.

Constructive Comments: Personally, and this is strictly subjective, this is a little cutesy for my tastes. I might have loved in as a younger man back in the 60’s, but there seems like something is missing–the magic. Not sure what it will take to find it, but good luck.

Positive Comments: These idiots at Broadjam don’t have a proper category for this style of song, but I would put it as some form of Americana with a distinct influence of Bruce Springsteen. I don’t know many songwriters who come in this close to the soul outside of Doug Gill and Gordon Lightfoot.

Constructive Comments: I’m down with it being where it’s at…not overproduced, just in the pocket.

Constructive Comments: I know this is after the fact, but if it was my choice, I would have opted for more contrasting sections and trying to get more passion in the vocals. Of course, I realize that even if my suggestions were worth consideration, very few people can redo their recordings.
