Positive Comments: This is the kind of song that would really rock in a bar setting. Good job.

Constructive Comments: When you go with a standard rock song format you need something to really stand out like an amazing lead guitar riff but I think the lead guitar is a little weak.

Positive Comments: Good song. This has a lot of potential.

Constructive Comments: In the first verse I didn’t like the Line “I asked your mother cause it was such a fine day”. It seems like you were trying to make a rhyme but it doesn’t make sense. It would make more sense to say “to see what she would say”. I hear so many songs and I am guilty of it sometimes myself where the lyrics are forced and I have been told by a very good publisher/producer that a bad line can sink a whole song. This song is too good to let that happen.

WHO’S GONNA ROCK MY WORLD? by Earl.C.Webb

Song: WHO’S GONNA ROCK MY WORLD?

Reviewer: Ober Rivers And His DUI’S

Positive Comments: Very nicely produced pop R&B, shades of Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald. No real issues, nice bit of a transition in dynamic about 2:40. Well done.

Constructive Comments: I suppose it’s dated for a modern pop song, it could probably have made it into MOR rotation in 1983. There might be a place for it somewhere in Adult Contemporary today, certainly it is good enough for soundtrack use, maybe a retro 1980’s movie. Very nicely written and produced tune. I like the repetitive outro ” whose gonna rock my world “, I could definitely see people on a dance floor with this in the 80’s.

Positive Comments: Excellent opening. Great sampling, love the chunky rhythmic guitar. Totally works to create something both heavy and light – which is very interesting. I appreciate the dynamic shifts very much, and that you’re not overdoing it. So many writers try to do WAY to much in an arrangement like this – and you haven’t. I have to think you’ve had some interest on this for some type of commercial use? If you haven’t – you will. At the 2:20 ish mark – totally works. That synth sound, wouldn’t think it would work. Followed up by the shredding guitar. You’re a pro. Keep it up. Be affirmed – you’re doing great things. Best I’ve heard in 10 reviews.

Constructive Comments: Sorry to “be that guy” but not much here. I can tell you’ve put a lot of time into your craft, it totally shows. I guess, if I’m thinking of anything to say – in listening to it a second time, possibly adding some etheral, sustained string”like” or sort of airy sustained higher frequencies at say 1:20, to help round out the texture before kicking it in again. Sort of a linkin park play? I could hear a melodic synth is what I’m saying – something simple and NOT too much. But take this lightly – my biggest constructive comment is to just keep it up. Keep going. Keep making music.
