Positive Comments: The song has lots of balls (am I allowed to say that?) with powerful Bob Seeger style vocals and plenty of country rock slide guitar going on. On first hearing, some of the chord progression comes as a surprise, but in a good way which become very natural after a couple of listens.Has a feel of a live performance about the recording with some rough edges which can be forgiven for the trade off in atmosphere. Some fine guitar playing. Has great potential.

Constructive Comments: I believe in being fair and as constructive as I can when reviewing songs – and expect the same in return. For me this really fine song could be showcased so much better but it depends on whether you intend to pitch it or are just recording for your own pleasure. If you intend to pitch it, the performance could do with tightening up and I believe you should consider removing the end section (from about 4.10). It would be fine as an established band’s album track but comes across as self indulgent and way too long under these circumstances. At that point the volume increases (big time if wearing headphones) and too many additional guitar tracks are added making it really hard to distinguish the lead lines because so much is going on at once. There are some really good licks going on when you can pick them out.Having said that, I really like the song, love the vocalist and – as a guitar player – can really appreciate the fine guitar playing. Good luck with it.
