Positive Comments: I love the airy instrumental vibe of the song. The guitar tone is lovely and those little guitar runs are great but most all I like the solo at the end. Good use of backing vocals and very strong rhythm section. The drumming arrangement is particularly strong. A memorable chorus.

Constructive Comments: The song has an anthemic quality which is rare in new music these days, so I was going to mark it down marketability, however given the strength of the tune there might be an opportunity for the song for the right listing.

Positive Comments: Here’s an excerpt from what (I hope) is a finished song. With high-energy female vocal, tight full band instrumentation and soaring electric guitar, this song has great potential.

Constructive Comments: First line of female vocal on chorus seems way too low for her range. Crank it up on key so it’s in her range. I don’t understand why you only posted an excerpt of this song. Why not put the whole track up on display. Great band!

Positive Comments: Here’s a rousing rollicking dancing bar-friendly song. With passionate female vocals (not lacking for excitement) the lead singer performs with gusto. Word pictures are prevalent from the tight wrangler jeans to the Tony Lama boots and Stetson hat, her cowboy is decked out just like she wants him. This is a fun song that is sure to go over big with the beer drinking crowd.

Constructive Comments: I don’t frequent the bars, nor do I drink beer, but this is a well-written song. The only thing is….the instrumentation. It sounded so …. synth. I wonder what this song would sound like with a real country band, some fiddle and guitar, a touch of mandolin, with a stand up bass…just have to wonder. You’ve got a great hook and definitely have the passion in your performance. I wish you well!Mrs. Kate in FL

Positive Comments: Not your Sunday School version of Jesus Loves Me, but it’s a WOWSER arrangement! With horn and creative percussion, and great background keys, this horn rendition of the classic Christian song is bound to uplift the soul and make you smile. Intro draws the listener in and all the way through this a sound, tight track, well produced and thought out, impeccably performed. Bravo! This would be a great offertory for a church service and would probably sound great on Christian radio. Might even be good background music for some kind of Christian advertising.

Constructive Comments: Little boy blue, keep blowing your horn. Sounds great to me! Mrs. Kate in FL

Positive Comments: Great piano sound and a strong main hook. It has a triumphant feel.

Constructive Comments: Great sound & vibe but I don’t think this does enough on its own–it feels like a vocal song. IMO it goes far too long without significant change from the primary hook (which is quite good but don’t wear it out). I would argue for taking out the filtered synth parts that are going ewweeeweeeeooo. All IMO of course, and I hope it’s helpful.

Positive Comments: Top notch performances on all instruments and great production. This sounds like a studio hire band. The vocals are very clear and smooth.

Constructive Comments: I’ll be honest here–I think the didactic lyrics and shoehorned phrasing make this a pretty boring song as is. I really think you need to distill the essence of the story into more musical lyrics.Cliche: “four winds” and if they blow strong they aren’t a contrast element for love that never fades. And what does a swinging young tree have to do with anything? This all IMO and only meant as honest critique. See how it jibes with what you hear across 10+ reviews. Good luck!!

Reviewer: Koko Conley – Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer

Positive Comments: I like the bass line okay, but it’s a bit heavy. The singer has a nice voice, but with a few vocal lessons, this would be a pretty good song. Kind of reminds me of Rhianna, a little.

Constructive Comments: I’m no expert on rap, but I am a vocal trainer. And while listening to the vocals, they’re sounding a bit lost in the mix, and a little bottoming out on the notes. There’s a little too much double vocal repeating. Vocals needs to be a bit more outstanding in the mix, with a strong leading vocal.

Constructive Comments: Not really. But, if I had to say anything, I’d recommend maybe bringing it a bit more up to date. It sounds just a little dated.
