Positive Comments: interesting start. the intro is good this melody is alright but I keep waiting for it to progress.
Constructive Comments: this song needs to continue to go somewhere after the start. its ok but its a little boring after a few verses. breaks help take the listener away and bring them back to this start.hope this helps all the best ===========catnip=========

Positive Comments: hear a steady beat, setting a good tone for the rest of the way
Constructive Comments: what I hear right away on the rhythm track is too loud I think because of the recording level. if you were to remix this and pay more attention to this level, (backing off a bit) it would leave more headroom and wouldn’t be so much of a problem with the rest of the mix.hope this helpsall the musical best ============catnip==================

Song: In Love With Love

Positive Comments: I’ve heard this one before outside the review process. The theme/topic is good, and there are some really good melody and lyric moments. I like the implied 12/8 feel. The “umm hummm” just before the chorus is a really good moment–it’s a completely effective prechorus with just two syllables. I really like the way the changes move underneath “think I’ll stick to drinking and *hanging*” –that’s a really tasty spot there. This needs some tweaks yet, according to my highly sought after industry veteran opinion (chuckle), but it’s good really good bones!
Constructive Comments: The vocal is too far back and there’s too much reverb that makes it lose intimacy and presence. Your vocal delivery is a bit stilted on the verses–it sounds like you’re a step or two low for your voice. The phrasing is very plodding in the verses–it could use some rhythmic variety and natural emphasis. Definitely lose that 80’s hard rock guitar solo–it just doesn’t fit the style & current sensibilities–it sounds like Brian May goes to Nashville.

Positive Comments: Very interesting recording. Kind a Rock / Gospel sounding piano/choir and keys coming out of water leading an awesome retro sound design watery stuff. Great work!
Constructive Comments: The piece sounds great for an industrial spot, where you have voice overs and you want the music to be non distracting. I’ve done spots where that’s what was called for. Honestly, if I was to take the arrangement one step further, would be to establish a lead instrument or vocal playing a solid melody on top of what you have going.
