Positive Comments: This song has an important message, exposing the injustice of the past to the Native Americans and the black slaves. It challenges the listener: What you you do if you were they and they were you…a creative way of putting the listener in the shoes of the oppressed. Nice job on this song. Interesting intro…sounds like a muffled harmonica. Vocals are in tune and song is performed with a good, earnest kind of energy. My favorite rhyme: mansion with handsome.
Constructive Comments: The lead vocal is muddy and hard to pick out in the mix early on, but seems to improve as the song progresses. My guess is that this is a vintage or live recording, and you have to cut it some slack. So my suggestion for improvement would be to re-record it with a better vocal mike and a better mix/master. I really like the song, though! Great job!
