Positive Comments: Fresh and original! I really like this recording…was it live? The guitar work is phenomenal. The song tells a very interesting story. You get 5 stars for originality. I really like all the things you rhymed with get it. Most original phrase was the “looking across the room for a groom for a chemical wedding.” If I read it right, this song is a clarion call, a warning that one night stands are a losing proposition in the light of the big picture, which I totally concur with. You are a master lyricist and a great performer, and I hope I get to hear more of your original work.

Constructive Comments: What was that burpy sound around 3:00? Given my theory that this was a live recording, well, I guess you couldn’t help it, but if it were something you could edit out, I would definitely do it. If you wanted to make this song more “commercially marketable” you might need to shorten it…perhaps the outro could be shorter. Although personally, I could listen to your great guitar playing for hours. Just out of curiosity, what kind of guitar were you playing? Thanks for the great song! Mrs. Kate

Positive Comments: This is a feel good song- something reminds me of the Beatles. It’s sort of pop with Jazz influences. The lyrics are nice, and there’s a peaceful feeling to the song. There are parts of the song that might work well in an upbeat commercial or something, or I can hear it the back of a photo collage slide show/video.

Constructive Comments: More lyrics would be good- the last part seems to go on for a while and is very repetitive. Since it’s Jazz I was expecting more improvisation but it was somewhat repetitive. There are a few parts in the vocal that sound a little off rhythmically, like the singer is trying to fit in more words than work in the phrase. Sometimes just leaving off a word or changing the rhythm a tiny bit will help with this.

Positive Comments: Excellent work! The part of the song I would call a chorus has really strong alternate chording by piano which I really liked. The modulation up a key towards end was well placed. Very good musicianship! I was hearing this playing while credits were playing out at the end of a movie.

Constructive Comments: The piano at the beginning and end of the song could have been louder so the total level of song didn’t change as drastically during the transitions adding drums and bass. Level during guts of song was fine. A small technical point but that’s all I really have.
