Positive Comments: I like the tone and harmony of the song, real laid-back. It sounds soothing because of the instrumentation

Constructive Comments: I gave the song 3 stars for instrumentation, but 1 for recording. What I meant by that is if the instrument sounds were more authentic, it would work pretty well. Are those real drums? Those do sound very good if they aren’t real. I’d like to hear a more spontaneous drum groove instead of the repetitive pattern that’s on here. But the vibe sound is very bad and really detracts from the song. The arrangement could use some variety as well I think. If you’re trying to create a sense of space, maybe make it more intentional. The whole song sounds under-orchestrated and unfocused. Maybe the instrument sounds contribute to that, I’m not sure. I’m not trying to bash the song – I certainly like the openness and space you’re creating, and I think the song could be very cool, just change a few things. Apple Logic Pro X is only $200 and has some very good sounds with it. Maybe check that out.
