Positive Comments: Great song! I like the clavinet intro, and the drum programming along with it. The drumset that came in later sounded programmed but it works very well with the arrangement. The song form is logical and builds well into the bridge/solo section. The instrumentation works for this song, and is recorded and mixed excellently. The sax player definitely knows this genre!
Constructive Comments: The only thing I would inject (as my own opinion) is smooth jazz genres don’t tend to use memorable melodies, but focus on the texture and groove. I thought this melody stuck with me well enough, though. If anything else, maybe more variation of instrumentation through the track, like varying the A sections more on subsequent repeats. But that’s just my two cents…great music!
