Song: Something Inside Of Me
Reviewer: Jeff Roberts
Positive Comments: Great intro that calls both Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’ and Allmans’ Melissa to mind–then you bring vocals in right on cue. Clean and powerful vocals that are given lots of space and hold up to the challenge! Incredibly pleasing vocal timbre and a very convincing emotional performance. This kinda song could help a lot of guys get married if it were playing in the truck. This is one of the best voices out there. Great bridge that really lifts.
Constructive Comments: beautiful eye–heyes I’d recommend not making two syllables out of ‘eyes’ I think it’s awkward and weak. Great as is but I’d love to hear what it’d sound like with a chord walk up on “then I saw you” I think that would kill. “It’s just something…inside of me” is good but not great, when you really want great at that moment.I’m not a hitmaker in Nashville but I’d really like to work on the lyrics/phrasing and chord structure with you to see if I could make this better. It’s freakin’ awesome regardless. Nice work!
