Constructive Comments: Odd meter pieces can be tough to pull off. There are some great tunes in 5, “Take 5” by Brubeck is probably the most famous example. What makes it work is the fact that it swings. Check it out and listen to the phrasing. It flows, it isn’t stiff/rigid. The solos reflect the 3+2 feel. Relax, you don’t have to fill every nook and cranny with notes.
