Positive Comments: Nice intro and a pretty song. Noticed guitar work and other instruments blending with harmony. Common and trite lyrics at first, but made good with reference to rope and getting tangled up with the other person. Vivid portrait of the senses during the dance encounter. Uplifting transition at 2:25. Universal theme which should have broad appeal. Glad the story had closure with a good ending.
Constructive Comments: The vocalist has a sweet voice, but struggles with high notes. You might shave a little time off the end, as the song is 4:29 and might not fit into current air play demands. The first couple of lines indicate an aversion to this other person and the rhyme of “run” and “fun” don’t quite evoke the right image. You might give that first verse some thought, as it puts a confusing image in my head. Good luck!
