Positive Comments: This seems to be (hope I got this right!) a very spiritual song. The way I take it, the writer found God and God is walking with him now. “I feel clean” speaks of cleansing and forgiveness, beautifully expressed in the vocals. The instrumentation is so beautiful, especially that bottom end (was it cello, bowed bass?)…loved it. Also the harmonies were spot on and really enhanced the song. Loved the guitar intro and the outro was well done, not rushed, very conclusive. Nice job!

Constructive Comments: This is my take on the lyrics…you need to vary your rhyming more. Seems to me there were too many “or” rhymes. It got kind of repetitive. So…did I get it right? Is this about God or ???

Positive Comments: Almost a Sade’ sound to the voice. Very smooth and atmospheric.

Constructive Comments: Drums are too loud and if there’s bass, it’s virtually inaudible. I think more structure to the lyrics instead of phrase-after-phrase would help round this out.

Positive Comments: Nice instrumental! Interesting sounds. Loved the strings/cello (?) that came in about 1:58. Keep up the good work!

Constructive Comments: I was getting weary of the drip drop sound monotony that went on for 58 seconds. I think I would work my way out of that musical phrase a bit earlier.

Positive Comments: I absolutely LOVE this song! It enchanted me from the intro on. Flawless vocal. Poetic lyrics blended with a beautiful morning melody that just totally suits the whole production. Instrumentation was perfect! Word pictures extremely effective and easy to visualize. Not just for children! This song is equally effective for adults. Bravisimo! My favorite lyric: Gently the path winds down the hillThe mountains come into viewMy breath leaves a cloud in the morning chillRising up to a royal blueThat is GREAT lyric writing!

Constructive Comments: The only thing I would do with this song is work on a more dramatic and conclusive ending instrumentally and maybe vocally. I want to see that sunrise bursting over the mountain in the ending.

Positive Comments: Tasty little jazz/blues vamp.

Constructive Comments: Maybe change it up a bit…key change and more bridge, or Dm9 to G7 and then back to the Em7 to A7 vamp. There’s so much stuff out there that just use a 2 chord vamp for the majority of the tune. Nothin’ wrong with that, but might make it hard to get any traction with this tune vs. all the others. There’s some good playing here, just think it could be even better with some minor changes.
