Song: That Old Trunk

Reviewer: Jason Heeter

Positive Comments: Good sound/recording quality. Good guitar tone, and the drums sound fantastic. Decent arrangement, with the bridge/pause and the buildup. The tune has potential. Overall, it’s a decent platform for a country song.

Constructive Comments: Well, to state the obvious, it needs lyrics. It has potential to be a decent country tune, but without anyone singing it feels pretty bland. I found myself thinking that the intro was taking forever until I realized there were no vocals coming. Music sounds good though.

Positive Comments: This song has a interesting feel to it! Similar to Billy Joel…It could fit into the movie named “The Piano Man”!

Constructive Comments: Could use some sharpening up on the production end of the song just to get it to the next level…Timing between instruments are off in spots.

Positive Comments: Sounds very pleasing to the ear and well arranged!I could hear it playing in a historical/victorian movie piece, similar to “Queen Elizabeth!

Constructive Comments: Stretch it out to about 2 minutes just to give music supervisors a bit more to choose from and maybe try adding a chello part 3/4 of the way through.Would be lovely

Song: Visions Of You

Reviewer: John Walradt

Positive Comments: If you enjoy kicking back and closing your eyes and drifting for the afternoon, this is just the song. The tune, orchestration, and arrangement are very pleasant, and easy. The female vocals are soft, sensual, and relaxed she puts across the mood beautifully. 2/3rds of the way through is a nice variation. Lyrically simple, it could fit in just about any scene. From what I’ve read, a lot of media opportunities look for something like that.

Constructive Comments: The only things I can think of which may just be my own preferences is to take the volume of the percussion down a little, and to extend the ending just a little by several seconds, perhaps repeating the notes that are used at the very beginning of the song and fading them out.
