Song: Farmer’s Daughter
Reviewer: Kate Carpenter
Positive Comments: Love the guitar intro to this pretty country song. Really great instrumentation and storytelling. Perfect vocals, nice harmonies too. Like the line about “daddy’s gonna tan my hide” street/burning heat – great rhymes. This is a very well-produced track and beautifully performed.
Constructive Comments: Something is still wrong with broadjam. The song quit playing at 2:44. Darn. The only beef I have with this song is a moral one coming from my own perspective. “Made love to the farmer’s daughter” sounds like having sex with her. Just take off your coat and some kind of a one-day stand or something. Maybe you didn’t mean it that way. Maybe I am reading into it, but to me, it cheapens her. No depth of relationship that I could detect. Just my 2 cents. I am a strong believer that sex belongs in marriage.
