Positive Comments: This pensive lovely song and Gordon Lightfoot’s “Circle of Steel” could be sister songs. Beginning with five notes that are very hooky and are repeated as a backdrop throughout the song, this song successfully has that Christmas time feel. It is a story very well told and a story to make you consider what humankind is about. The melody is unforgettable. Is there a place for a song like this? There certainly should be! There was for “Circle of Steel.”

Constructive Comments: This song is masterfully done. There’s nothing about it that needs to be worked on.

Positive Comments: Oh my gosh, I think I’m going to drift and dream. It’s the kind of carefree summer we experienced until that dirty word “work” came along. Lilting peaceful melody, wispy vocals, and well thought out lyrics…it’s the summer song of the year! The finger picked guitar, piano keystrokes up and down the scale, and…hmmm…is that a clarinet? The instrumentations are conservatively well arranged to keep the simple feel of the song. Put this song alongside “Lazy Day,” “Windy,” “Tuesday Afternoon,” and, well, you get the idea. Okay, back to drifting and dreaming.

Constructive Comments: Beautiful song! My own personal taste would be to compliment the lead vocalist with a baritone female voice to harmonize. It doesn’t look like you’re going to slow down with the great songs anytime soon!
