Positive Comments: You have a fantastic voice! The production is great and totally works with the song.

Constructive Comments: The melody is soooo similar to something I’ve heard. It’s a song with the lyric “I’m a hustler baaaaby, do what you gotta dooo” in a high pitched voice and I can’t think of who it is….maybe Shake Ya Ass by Mystikal? The high part of the chorus late in the song that’s sung. Anyway that’s why I scored you lower on originality…I don’t think you want people to feel like they’ve heard it before, so maybe change a note or two? But keep doin’ you! You got it goin on, and this is just one person’s opinion 🙂

Positive Comments: Pretty unique…great quality on the recording, and the instrumentation is tight.

Constructive Comments: So, when I think of pop music…I think of what’s on playlists like “Today’s Hits” on Spotify, and this song would not fit on that playlist at all. It’s very vintage… particularly with the use of wind instruments….pop music today is all MIDI/driven. I would just reclassify the genre! And pitch it for 70’s and 80’s movie soundtracks!

Constructive Comments: It’s very vintage sounding, so I wouldn’t classify it as pop…because that’s not what’s “popular” right now. Maybe Jazz or New Age? I don’t have any suggestions for what to change! It’s just not my cup of tea…and I listen to a lot of dance pop.

Constructive Comments: This song is not rock…at all. It’s adult contemporary, country, or folk maybe? I also couldn’t really identify where the chorus began and ended…there wasn’t much differentiation in the melody or instrumentation to signal that. And, the recording quality isn’t quite as crisp as we hear on hit songs these days…but maybe that’s on purpose! Giving it a kind of vintage feel 🙂

Constructive Comments: I think this idea (the American Dream) has been done so many times that it’s hard to find a fresh way to spin it, so I felt like the lyrics and hook were a little bit lacking…which is a shame because you have EVERYTHING else going for you! I think if you just came up with a more memorable hook, well you’ve got a hit song on your hands 🙂 great job!
