Positive Comments: very fun retro New Waveish sound – reminds me very much of Men At Work. Well produced with good instrumentation and a solid groove. Enjoyed the vocal treatment – very smooth with nice harmonies. Liked the hook and the sax hook as well – also liked the sax fills – gives you something more to listen to sonically.
Constructive Comments: the lyrics don’t reach out and grab me, but that’s something totally subjective, so no biggee there. Otherwise I really enjoyed the feel of the track – much fun!

Song: Little One
Reviewer: paul sandberg
Positive Comments: very nice warm production with a strong vocal track and just the right amount of string wash. Enjoyed the lyrics, very sweet and sincere and the vocals highlighted them well, with a melody that is right in the pocket with a cadence that never feels rushed, even when there are more syllables in some lines than others.
Constructive Comments: Judicious use of a De-esesser would help clear up some of those persistant SSSSS’s.I also felt that perhaps the song could have ended after the bridge instead of going with the modulation, making this a 4 minute song instead of a 5 minute one – but that’s just for commercial considerations.overall a very strong song that I enjoyed listening to.

Positive Comments: excellent production – haunting groove. Nice use of secondary vocals with lots of subtle tonalities going on.Vocals sung with emotion that really sells the lyricsI liked how you entered the song with the chorus and then emphasized the lyrics with the verse.lyric content and story is very strong, liked the generational trap, which again, with the haunting instruments and feel make this even more poignant
Constructive Comments: I can certainly hear this as the end music to a film – nice work! There’s nothing I would change here so kudos on a very strong song.

Positive Comments: Really pretty rendition of one of worlds greatest audio pleasures. You did perfect, the playing is very consistent through out.
Constructive Comments: Obviously there is a lot of noise mainly hiss and the piano sound seems somewhat compromised. I wish I sound ignore these things. If there is a way to next time be able to do a recording with better facilities it helps the listener hear your beautiful interpretations…

Positive Comments: SWEET! Rocking blues with a killer band… this is a really great mix. Nice kick and snare, the pocket is great. Organ solo is perfect… AND THOSE KICKS at the end into the guitar solo… shit! YEAH And more guitar… all sounds top shelf. These guitar sounds are the best!!! Oh my the solos are insane!!! 3:56!! Are you kidding me??!! Fantastic bit of engineering on this. So glad I got to hear this song.
Constructive Comments: I am not worthy.

Positive Comments: Rocking guitar player, this is a crazy song, the melody and feel are fabulous… feels like “Poison” meets “Backman Turner Overdrive”. So I’m totally digging the song by 2:40. Really cool guitar work happening, I like the panning and opposing rhythm parts around 3 minutes. Bass is solid and playing pretty much a perfect part. I really like the pattern, the spaces make the song more bouncy and less redundant.
Constructive Comments: I was waiting for a vocal to start, kept thinking ‘this time’ lol… just kidding… only the first two times. Would be the perfect song for a rock vocal but you know that… this is your guitar god song. There’s no real reoccurring theme just a series of cool themes so I gave you a 5 for hook(s). I really miss live drums. I mean reeaaly miss live drums on this. Let’s talk!! plz.

Song: I’m Tired KILLER NEW SAX
Reviewer: Bob Birthisel
Positive Comments: Excellent 80s vibe with a new wave feel. I particularly found the instruments appealing though the vocal carries itself well. The guitar tone is outstanding and the horns very tasty. Nice cut overall.
Constructive Comments: Really hard to get past the recording quality. I review everything on studio headphones and felt like I was in a closet hearing the music from 3 blocks away. For some reason it sounds distant which takes all the ‘guts’ out of the drums and bass in particular. The song has a lot of potential if the mix were stronger in my opinion. Even after a couple of listens I have no idea of the title, so the hook could also be punched up a little. Still a great listen. I just wish I could hear everything better!

Positive Comments: Song has a very warm feel to it…. very hypnotic and pleasing. Some nice guitar riffs between the vocal. Nice to hear a live recording after being stuck at home for so long. The female vocal parts are a nice addition, could have had more? The instrumental sections of the song are strong. Great how you stopped on the first bar of the last verse coming out of the guitar solo, that was a very nice dynamic moment.
Constructive Comments: In the beginning it sounds like the slide guitar player doesn’t know the song. Live recordings are tough to review, hard to really hear the song always being distracted by audio cut-outs, issues from live mixes and such…makes it hard for me to really hear your song. If you were to record this in the studio I would like to hear it.

Song: We Wish You A Merry Christmas
Reviewer: Duncan McLauchlan
Positive Comments: A good old simple festive song with a little tweak for the Broadjam audience. The simplicity of the production is completely fitting for the material. I can imagine this artist performing comedic and traditional English folk material with some dry humor thrown in.I like the injection of the French verse.
Constructive Comments: maybe a tiny bit off-pitch occasionally with odd little timing glitches (One chorus of “Glad tidings” is a little premature on one chorus). It’s good to hear someone doing something clean and simple.I like the way it is kept real throughout.Well done.
