Positive Comments: Great title! A take-off from the familiar nursery rhyme Little Boy Blue…but that’s as far as it goes…because there’s a tunnel instead of a haystack. Great word picture: the guy leaves the girl hanging on a branch with a mile-long fall…great image with which to open up the song. Nice background vocals. Great instrumentation. Love the vocal inflections too.

Positive Comments: Innovative composition and instrumentation. Love the vocal inflections. Your lead guitar player totally rocks. Wish I could see him/her play in a video. Favorite rhymes: haze/maze smoked/ghost. The saxophone coming in is a novel change-up/surprise in the middle of the song. Nice bass. There is a lot of instrumental variation in this unique song.

The piano playing is packed with emotion and the string bed enhances the mood the artist is creating. Beautiful job! I like the subtle changes throughout the piece. Lovely ending!

Positive Comments: Very theatrical and I’m hearing major Queen influences. The guitar work is exceptionally-nice, with a slight Ritchie Blackmore feel. All the instruments are well-recorded and the vocal is spot-on. Very enjoyable listen.

Constructive Comments: Personal taste – I’m not a fan of the upright piano sound, compared to something like a Yamaha baby grand. There’s no discernable hook so I had to mark it down a bit from a “market potential” aspect. But I liked the overall song a lot. I wish there was a little more continuity in the blend of the keyboard but maybe that’s just my ear picking up the tone that doesn’t work for me. Strong effort though!
