Song: Good As Gold
Reviewer: Catch Ten One Ten
Positive Comments: I love the backing track! Ahhh! That fiddle, and the clean electric. Nice full sound! Love love love!! The instruments are played in a way that feel mindful of the message of the song, and not just the notes themselves. Bravo!
Constructive Comments: It starts too big right away. In a classic verse chorus verse chorus style, you need momentum. I couldn’t even tell the verses and chorus apart, except for lyrics. The vocals would be great if it was live, for a studio version, do not be afraid of more post-production! It feels a little repetitive (A common criticism of my own music) I encourage you to provide underscoring and composition work for others, as you do this VERY WELL! Keep it up <3

Song: Light and Shade

Positive Comments: Strong instrumental, not the kind of music that might get used in a generic TV program or commercial. In other words, not just “background” music, although if it was used as such, it would be some high class background music. And if this is one musician, thats’ awesome, because there’s a lot going on here, in arrangement, and it all stays together.
Constructive Comments: No nitpicking. While I don’t go looking for this kind of music, in the world of Broadjam where a lot of people are trying to sound like some generic idea of what they think will sell records, this is not that!

Positive Comments: Now this is spot on for an instrumental – not too long, plenty of dynamic range to keep the track interesting, a fun approach. I could hear this track on a TV program, like while weather forecasts stream by or something – because bouncy music like this will keep us tuned in!
Constructive Comments: Don’t really have any nitpicks – there’s no standout hook to the piece that I’ll whistle later, but there doesn’t always have to be. My “appropriate title” is just a joke, nothing to take seriously…

Song: All of the Above – funky instrumental
Reviewer: CWMullins
Positive Comments: why can’t Broadjam put instrumental as a genre? Anyway! Once I realized this track had no vocal/lyric, I settled into a really nice groove. Keeping an instrumental interesting for longer than a minute even is a big task, and while I don’t think four minutes is the best length for this track, I didn’t get antsy until about 3 minute mark.
Constructive Comments: I don’t know what the market is for instrumentals, but I guess there are contests on broadjam for instrumental pieces to use in TV or something. If this was for a general audience, like a track on a record, I’d like a little more dynamic range, a little more excitement. The first 20 seconds aren’t all that different from the middle 20 or the last 20….

Positive Comments: OK not my cup of tea as they say, but I am sure the performers hit their goal, writing and performing a fun, up tempo song with a throwback feeling, even all the way back to the 60s. Anyone who likes this kind of thing is going to like this track a lot!
Constructive Comments: This isn’t a cover of that movie song is it? I don’t know that song so well. If it’s “original,” my problem is, it’s not original enough. Chords and chorus and harmony, even lyric, all feel like stuff I’ve heard before. Now if it is a cover, then good job!

Song: RAINBOW MAKER
Reviewer: CWMullins
Positive Comments: First thing to come to mind, what a strong singing performance. Voice is like a mix of Stevie Nicks and the great Peggy Lee. Kind of hard to pin down genre, which is good, song is very much itself. I lean more to rock than pop but it doesn’t matter. I like the mood of the arrangement, lots of nice little instrumental touches
Constructive Comments: Really strong track, but to nitpick – I hate the term “hook,” but over four minutes this song never really peaks, hits a high point. So if that is what a hook would do, yeah, the song could use a chorus or moment where it really stands out. Would give the singer an opportunity to show even more range too.
