Positive Comments: Love the moodiness created with this production. Solid song. The vocals are cool as all get-out. The arrangement has a wonderful balance of tension and release. Solid instrumental work!

Constructive Comments: Nice buildup, but I kind of would rather prefer real instruments over the synth near the final part of the song.

Song: RnB Instrumental (80’s)

Reviewer: Simon Niclas Hahn

Positive Comments: This song has a smooth, forward going musical line, which would work very well as underscore in a film, that shows the everyday life of the protagonist, who pursuit his dreams. It has a calming influence on the listener and a good balance between repetition and new parts. The production of the song is also convincing. All in all a very round thing.

Constructive Comments: The song reminds me of the music, that was played in the 80s / 90s and would suit perfectly in a surrounding, which feature this time. It scores with its ability to accompany film, but in my opinion it could also work as a song with vocals. But for that use it would be nice, if this song has more highs and lows. Don’t misunderstand me, it is good how it is for film, but it has the possibility to shine more, when for example in one part of the film the listeners hear that version and in a later part (maybe a retrospective) they hear it again with some vocals. In that way it has the potetial to summarize a whole film.

Song: How the Sea alternate version

Reviewer: Ian Graham

Positive Comments: Night-time nostalgia about falling in love to the rhythm of the sea. A smooth, calming song, well-paced and appealingly sung. One to play softly after dusk.

Constructive Comments: Not sure “folk” is the best category for this, although I’m not much of a one for assigning genres. Pop? Latin? Jazz? It has a gentle, crooning style that doesn’t quite fit any of those. Anyway, a pleasant song pleasingly sung. Best of luck with it.

Positive Comments: Has a Bayou Sound to it, it’s interesting, but there are a few issues with the timing on the composition. The Lead Vocals are pretty cool!! I think with a stronger music track this could be super COOL!! Love the Accordion in the composition! The Lead vocal needs to be out front a tad more!! All and all the song has some very sweet elements!!

Constructive Comments: The Timing issue needs to be resolved!! But very creative!!!

Actually sounds like some famous group from that era…well done!! It’s certainly different, but sounds fun!! I know……a tune from The Benny Hill Show from England! This might have a solid chance to be placed in a film!

Constructive Comments: Nothing to add……….

Positive Comments: it’s got that jangly Byrds guitar sound, with a nice beat and a decent breakdown.

Constructive Comments: I wanted more from the lyrics – not just a repeat of the first verse.to me there seems to be too much bottom end and overall the bass is a bit too forward.there are a few minor tempo fluxuations but overall the instrumental tracks are pretty clean.

Song: Waterfalls

Reviewer: Bob Birthisel

Positive Comments: Extremely well-played and recorded, the pauses in the drum rhythm are extremely effective. At first I was surprised, then surprised in a pleasant way as they were an interesting side bar to the piece. I particularly enjoyed the blend on the instruments. Mixed by a pro to be sure.

Constructive Comments: My only issue (not really an issue) was based on my personal taste, there was a little too much sameness and not quite enough melody. That could easily be rectified by either adding another instrumental track as a point/counterpoint, or edit from 4:16 by about a minute to keep it fresh throughout. Just personal preference.
