Positive Comments: Excellent concept, and well-executed. The hook definitely stands out and overall the instruments were balanced other than the bass drum (snare also could have been hotter). Harmonies were strong and very melodic. I enjoyed the song a lot.

Constructive Comments: If I had an issue, it would be that this sounded like it was either a really good home recording, or recorded sometime in the 80s. Not as crisp as 2020 expectations, but that’s just nit-picking to my taste.

Positive Comments: Flashback 60’s for sure. I liked the song arrangement a lot and all the instruments were era-appropriate and for the most part mixed to a nice level. The actual recording sound didn’t sound 2020 studio-ready, but maybe that’s intentional.

Constructive Comments: I’m just guessing at the song title, as the one area that could be improved was a more defined hook/title inclusion.

Positive Comments: Excellent vocal and all the instrumentation was rock-solid and well recorded. I enjoyed the pace and motion of the song too.

Constructive Comments: For me it needed harmonies. MASSIVE harmonies! Or at least on the chorus or at least somewhere. As nice as the lead vocal is, it needs that lift of backing male/female vocal mix to take it to the next level. That’s why I downgraded the hook slightly.

Positive Comments: I enjoyed the changes in dynamics and the recurring melody theme. Very 80s sounding and the recording itself was very strong. Layering of keyboards worked well and I could hear this in some sort of soundtrack setting.

Positive Comments: I think the song was great. It was lyrically fun, sound and the arrangement and hook were great. The story was fun to move to and will be great for licensing. Great job!

Constructive Comments: The song was great. I do think either the vocals were low or the instrumental was loud. While trying to enjoy the song I found myself trying to listen closer. A better mix could probably adjust those levels to make the song more enjoyable. Again, good job! I enjoyed it very much.

Constructive Comments: Not sure what the goal is for this recording, but it the playing is a little stiff and unemotional. Perhaps it’s worth revisiting to add dynamics and sensitivity.
