Positive Comments: The lyrics are very strong and really well put together. Great lead vocal..sounds like Don Henley, Tremendous use of backing vocals. The chorus is very catchy and I’m humming it as I write this. The song has a great structure. Lovely power ballad.

Constructive Comments: In terms of arrangement I think the song needs more variety. The arrangements on the first and second verse sound very similar. Were you to add or subtract instrumentation you would deliver more light and shade to the listener. I would have liked the drums to have been higher in the mix. As it’s a power ballad you could really up the power on the final chorus and outro, so that the listener is left with a real crescendo at the end of the song. That said it’s a really well composed song in terms of words and music.

Positive Comments: The song has a great story line. Guy buys a dollar kiss from a girl at the county fair and falls in love, but realizes it too late. Vocal and background vocals are nicely sung. Instrumentation nicely done. Very clear recording.

Constructive Comments: What makes this song Country Cowboy? The boots? It didn’t seem too cowboy to me. I can understand why you had the “county fair” noise at the beginning and the end, but I don’t think it does anything for the song. I’d come up with a different intro/outro. It might make the song more appealing. Published lyrics say Boots, but singer says Shoes. (why not boots if you’re a cowboy?)

Positive Comments: This is a really amazing father/daughter song. It’s so…honest! It comes across as 100% authentic. I love the way the vocal is performed (and obviously expertly miked and recorded). The lyrics are simple and effectively written, the presentation childlike and yet daddy-like. I like the way the dad reveals his humanness and self-inadequacy (how can she elevate me so? I’m only human). The sun imagery is perfect. The guitar playing is beautiful. Mix perfect.

Positive Comments: Here’s a cover of Joan Baez’s song Diamonds and Rust. The vocalist pulls it off so well…she could probably make a living doing Joan Baez tribute concerts. The guitar playing is absolutely beautiful. This is not an easy song to perform/cover, so my hat is off to you. You did a great job!

Positive Comments: Here’s a haunting song about a woman named Annalee. The chorus/hook is very memorable. The instrumentation/production is really tight and expertly done. Love the guitar – very expressive and beautifully played. What is Annalee hiding? The listener has to wonder.

Constructive Comments: Please take the time to publish the lyrics. I needed to see them to better review this song. The song is probably too long to be commercial. So you might think of shortening it if that is important to you.
