Positive Comments: loved it, almost an RnB rock, maybe fits more into classic rock But the guitar playing was awesome, the best I’ve heard here on BJ besides myself, Great singingHas a great mood and space. Really feels like a radio song…..

Constructive Comments: I guess the only thing I could think of that might help would be to re-visit the lyrics and maybe get a little more esoteric and poetic with them, they’re not bad but they are pretty ” normal” and a little boring.

Constructive Comments: Only a couple small things, The drums bugged me bit, a little to drum machine ish, Maybe you could find some resell drum samples to use instead of the machine, Just my taste, and I think if you were to put a break down in the middle, a place where it all drops down to just one instrument or a a quite passage , then you could come back in and have a dynamic moment. Its a little too much the same sonically after a while, needs a break

Constructive Comments: just 2 things, vocals are little buried, and it does sound quite a bit like a song I’ve heard on the radio back in the 90’s Can’t remember who but I swear I’ve heard this before. That may be a good thing though.

Positive Comments: wow great song, great singer, good lyrics, really has an old time feel like 50’s doowap.

Constructive Comments: It’s about blues but may be more of a classic pop song, the chord progression is really more like in line with a 50’s pop song. I liked though, great work.

Positive Comments: Quite a good song, deep lyrics, good performances on music and vocals are quite convincing, sold it well. I liked it, reminds me of old 70’s folk music.

Constructive Comments: The main thing that stood out to me was the lack of a real chorus hook, I guess it had one but I couldn’t tell it from the verses I just didn’t here anything that stood out as a repeating hook. and I’m not sure its best in blues, Its not really a blues progression, has some blues licks in it but structurally its more of a folk song.

Positive Comments: Nice groove and sound right out of the box. Beautiful tones and vibe. Love the pads blending with the guitar and creative random drum and percussion things happening. Very non-traditional sounds, interesting and fresh. Mix seems to be pretty quality. I can hear the bass well and the drums are just right… lead instruments are out front just right. Cool little break downs setting up the cycle. Interesting sound choices, I like it. Very unique song and recording, super layered but not cluttered. Good use of a hook within a wall of sound.

Constructive Comments: Ok the song is a little bit cluttered, not to a bad point, just hear many layers… and I do like this. Could have been very easy to lose your hook amidst all the sounds used here, I imagine it was quite a mixing feat to keep the melody instruments in the front of the mix. Very nice work.

Positive Comments: Very good acoustic guitar recording… Vocal and vibe is very reminiscent of Jethro Tull. Effects on the guitar sound good, lots of reverb works well for this recording. Very good and inspiring lyrics, upbeat and positive. Guitar interludes were engaging and never lost the energy.

Constructive Comments: I could head much more orchestration possible with this song… Flute or piccolo… upright bass, percussion, mandolin etc… and a solo the song works well too but this could be a large production and would not lose its character.

Song: Obla-Di Obla-Da (instrumental)

Reviewer: Dave Haddad (CenterPeace)

Positive Comments: Nice guitar melody and bass line is quality. Has a nice island feel to it. Instrumentation is good for all programmed accompaniment. Creative drum fills. Nice playing and the arrangement was good considering I could not hear everything too clearly.

Constructive Comments: Drum programming is generally good but too many cymbal crashes in my opinion. The organ and keyboard accompaniment was severely under mixed. No discernible mistakes in the mix it was just not balanced. Also felt that the guitar was too bassy, needed to roll off some lows and brighten up the tone slightly… it didn’t seem to cut through the mix well enough for being the lead instrument.
