Constructive Comments: This did not feel like Country Cowboy. It sounds and feels more contemporary or alternative. The guitar sounds like it was played on top of other instruments instead of with them.

Positive Comments: Very very good song. It was a joy to listen too. The instrumentation is spot on. Played and mixed very well. Trumpet solo’s were full of class. The vocalists tone and delivery matched the mood & sound of the song very well. The lyrics and hook made me want to have a dirty martini with olive and a smooth cigar! There is a nostalgic quality about this track that I really enjoyed. Great work….Bravo!!!

Positive Comments: It sounds good, a bit “happier” than the lyrics submitted would suggest but that can work sometimes. I would flesh out the lyrics, the music is good though.

Constructive Comments: “She wants to know if her hearts been fooled againThird times the charm is the rule she knows she said”Figuring out what path you want to take these lyrics is going to be key. It feels sad obviously, but I almost get a feel of some of the Matchbox 20 lyrics Rob Thomas was writing in the second line. I would try to develop a title/hook of that idea with the last line after the couplet above being something like “But when the game is love, the stakes are so high/If you miss you chance, you may never get another try”. Something along those lines to continue the lyrical idea.
