Positive Comments: The chorus is very singable. The voice sounds very good in the higher range. The arrangement is excellent. I love the way the flute sounds and the additional voices that do not interfere with the main singing but just give it a lovely feel.

Constructive Comments: Something about the actual tune reminds me somewhat of “When Sunny Gets Blue” (but it doesn’t sound copied or anything.) I’d like it if there were a different more compatible image to summer other than a rainy ride through the “jungle.”

Positive Comments: I like the song. Lyrics rate high. The song goes well with the voice. It sounds like the blues but it is impressionistic so that makes it more original. The song is easy to hear again and again. A couple of things keep it from scoring “excellent”.

Constructive Comments: I’d love to hear more information in the lyrics on just WHY he says he’s “gonna be on time”. Some of the words were indistinct because of the quality of the recording. The fuzziness of the recording probably causes the song to score lower than it should be scored.

Positive Comments: Grabs you from first chord! Nice vocals. Good Chorus. I like how you get to the chorus quickly. Overall lyrics are great. “putting yesterday behind me” ‘could be a nice first bridge line?
