Positive Comments: Here’s a fun instrumental for kids, although there’s no reason adults shouldn’t enjoy it too. Cheerful, bouncy, fun, playful and carefree. Might be good for a video game or background music for a project.

Constructive Comments: Work on the first second or two. It needs to come in more gently or gradually.

Positive Comments: nicely done, you have a great voice, very sweet and pretty, its a fun and interesting song, seems like it could almost be useful in a comedic way in the right place in a movie, Like something with a Jack Nicholson out to pasture scene.

Constructive Comments: The only thing might be that its a little low on the volume output, maybe try to remaster it and bring the volume up a bit.

Positive Comments: ITs a good piece, I proably should have rated it higher but I couldn’t help but hear things that seemed could have been better. I like the mix of instruments and playing is good and the arrangement creates some suspense, BUT

Constructive Comments: A few things I would have done differently, could have been more dynamic with the volumes, The background synth remains pretty constant at like 8/10 volume, if it were to ebb and flow up and down some creating more volume dynamics there could have been more suspense and drama. that and I think some occasional kettle drums would have been nice, and one other thing, the reverb thats on the horns just doesn’t fit for me, its like a shallow plate verb and the horns would have blended into the music better if they had the same type of verb on them as the staccato strings, or just same master verb but panned to a different position. I’d remix this one, good playing and worthy of the time to make better.

Positive Comments: Very accomplished arrangement and well executed.

Constructive Comments: Wanted to hear the third vocal line in the chorus go up a notch for variation. I get that country music is sometimes downbeat or sad but it’s just something I heard in my head before you got to that line. I suspect you can sing in a higher range when you want to.Some vocal backing harmonies would also add some richness to that chorus.

Positive Comments: This is so different that I’m struggling to come up with appropriate comments! Top score therefore from me is for originality!

Constructive Comments: The sparse music accompaniment could be improved in my view with a bit more padding during the key parts. I’m not sure about the vocal harmony that comes in – doesn’t add too much for my money.

Song: Hiding In The Dark

Reviewer: Rick McGee

Positive Comments: This song has a good, contemporary feel and sound. The listener could hear this as a Christian message or more on the secular side as someone who has found the love of his life. I like that ambiguity because it has broad appeal to those that are not saved or in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Maybe it will get them to think in that direction.

Constructive Comments: The recording has some nice elements but I struggled to hear any low end or specific bass lines. The vocal was clean and emotive – good job. My particular taste leans toward a little more production on a tune like this, especially on the drums, bass and pads. Good song! God Bless! Keep at it!

Song: Love Can Be True

Reviewer: Rick McGee

Positive Comments: I think this song is very close to being quite memorable. There is a groove here that is just about to hook me, but never quite does. The melody is there and the arrangement is fine. I like that you kept the instrumentation simple, it allows the song to breathe. You are very, very close on this one. Any song that honors our Lord is always good!

Constructive Comments: The vocal is a bit pitchy, with way too much effect. What bothers me more than that is too many held out notes in the verses. Long, long vowels in a verse don’t work to keep the energy flowing. I like the first two melody lines in the chorus A LOT, but the third and fourth lines of the chorus don’t take me anywhere musically. That last chorus line needs to be a big payoff. This song has a bunch of potential. Keep at it! God Bless!!
