Positive Comments: I love the compression on the guitar in the right channel! Got it really popping. For some reason, the melody and harmonies remind me of a band called Sparks. I happen to like the band Sparks. I had absolutely no problem listening to this song all the way through. The arrangement was agreeable.

Constructive Comments: I’m somewhat ambivalent on the Jerry Garcia envelope generator going the entire duration, but that is an artistic preference. Definitely not a deal breaker for me however.

Positive Comments: Love the driving drums and bass line. Very exciting beat and bouncy rhythm that keeps the listener engaged. The sneaky distorted guitar parts that come in and out is a great touch. The use of the flutter tongue jazz flute is also on point with the style you were going for in this track. I can definitely see this in something like Oceans 11.

Constructive Comments: The only criticism I have is with the opening of the tune. It sounds very similar to existing material. However, it does match the style you were going for and I don’t think it would infringe on any copyright. Great stuff overall and I think there is definitely a place for this. I wish you success and hope someone picks it up!

Song: Time Loop (“Live” at Cowtown Ballroom)

Positive Comments: Sounds like a lost Elton John epic, mixed with some more humorous/carefree lyrics, and performance. There is glam there, or rather, at least he was/is drinking from the same well that these types of artists were drawing from. I’m not sure if this is an old song recorded live, then uploaded here, or something like Mild High Club where it is recorded, then “aged.” Either way, the quality of the recording sounds older, and I like it.

Constructive Comments: I believe that Chet Nichols has talent. I’m not familiar with him. If this recording is live, and from a certain era, the pops and plosives are forgivable. If it is newer, the pops and plosives are deliberate. I’m leaning towards this being aged in the studio. There is a mild ADT effect on the vocals that wouldn’t have been impossible to do from late 70’s onward, but I’m leaning towards newer studio work. If this is newer, I’d like to be in contact with Chet! As far as market potential…..I can’t say. Like my music, perhaps a niche market would be the only real appreciators. Anyway, it’s a labor of love! Great job!

Positive Comments: Nice groove, kind of a shuffle. I can hear a good guitar player in there. Please keep making music, it sounds like you have a knack for melodies and rhythm. The world needs more creators best of luck!

Constructive Comments: Heavily flanged and too much low end, I think a slight roll off around 100 to 200 hz would make the tone cut more and wouldn’t have a ‘tail’ of low end. Drums are too low, there’s a lack of grounding, foundation to this mix. If there is a bass it is indistinguishable. With the poor quality of the mix and production I could only listen to your song one time. I think you are a good musician, please put more attention on the production and presentation of your music. I can not listen again not because of song but because of the presentation.

Positive Comments: Cool intro reveals nothing about what is to come… Extreme “in your face, someone’s gonna get hurt” ROCK N ROLL! Amazing passion. Very good parts, performances and Song. Wow the bridge section after the guitar solo was lit! The mix is happening.. not easy with every instrument needing their spotlight. Excellent production!! People this is great rock n roll production.

Constructive Comments: Sounds like so many other metal bands before. To my ears the toms have too much high eq. Maybe the mix is a little ‘muddy’ heavy from 60hz on up. Nothing distorting so damn great job on the production!!!! After 3 listens maybe the vocals were a bit redundant, maybe a section with singing in a lower range would make a good contrast.

Positive Comments: Good selection of instruments. Quality recording. ice arrangement. Loved the backing vocals, well placed in the mix and a god addition to the sound. Excellent arrangement of the background vocals, loved the answers. Cool parts, very unique and original… glad you have a sound all your own. Great groove, so hard to play slow and in the pocket at such a slow bpm.

Constructive Comments: The rhythm section is not always together mostly noticeable in the beginning (just a short run on the guitar is all). The song is growing on me the more I listen. Drummer didn’t get the memo that the song was ending… left me thinking ‘what?, why?’. Electric guitar comping part eq was a little dull but I am being super picky…. there’s really nothing else I could add to this song, very nice!!

Constructive Comments: The track sounds very muddy. Either you are recording too hot, or your EQ need some serious adjustment. Try re-recording (Just what we all want to hear) at -9 db and see if the headroom it creates will give this track the fidelity it deserves.Hope this helps! All the Best! catnip=+=
