Positive Comments: Very smooth, feels like some Irish countryside song. The vocals are very clean and on pitch. This song is etherial in nature and kind of whisks one into the ethos.

Constructive Comments: The lyrics are harder for me to cypher, but very pleasant sound. I enjoyed the instrumentation, especially in its simplicity, and the way the it weaves in and out of the song.

Positive Comments: Great sounding song right from the beginning, love the drums – sounds a lot like the Police, love the rhythm guitar and how the drums blend together with the rest of the music. The drums are amazing – whoever wrote this piece knows how to get the most out of the percussion, just really sounds great. I love when the keyboard arrives it gives the song a cool soft sound that really keeps the listener involved.

Constructive Comments: Great Rock and Roll, I don’t know that I’d change anything because it’s so good. I think this song would be great if you wanted to make a spin off with lyrics. The only change I would make is that I’d bring the drums back in around the five minute mark – best wishes!

Kitschy Kitschy Kool by Margie & Art Corey

Song: Kitschy Kitschy Kool

Reviewer: Nobody’s Mule

Positive Comments: Very cool blues. Reminiscent of the kind of hip beatnik blues of Ricki Lee Jones, Tom Waits, Mose Allison. Terrific vocal, both tone and phrasing. Strong instrumentation, especially the bass, and the saxophone improvising over the beat. The kind of beat that makes you want to snap your fingers and order another whiskey on the rocks in a dark nightclub with a small stage and a single spotlight focused on a singer backed by a quartet playing in the shadows. The arrangement nicely fits the feel of the sound, and the quality of the recording as heard in the headphones is excellent.

Constructive Comments: Nothing much to change here. To nitpick, you might think about redoing the opening vocalizing, which doesn’t do much for me in terms of getting into the song. The female vocal at the end though works just fine.

Positive Comments: I like the way this song starts with the drums and I also like the lead vocals and how they are right up front. Very interesting lyrics about life and strife, sounds complicated. Very good lead guitar as well. I think the vocals are fantastic sounds a whole lot like the Wilson Sisters from the band called Heart, also sounds a bit like Pat Benatar.

Constructive Comments: Very good Rock & Roll song, the vocals are beautiful. I’ve got one thing that I think would make this song sound great – instead of where the lead guitar solo is I would replace it with a saxophone. I just think a saxophone would give it that special edge and would match the lyrics as well – best wishes!

Positive Comments: The style is really rock, well played and interesting. I like the guitar and the energy of the whole song.

Constructive Comments: I don’t know if it was planned, that the voice is somehow distorted and not on the top of the mix, but i really couldn’t understand words and it was swollen by instruments. Even though the voice was really rhythmically well sang I have the feeling that the group couldn’t decide if it was really important. Maybe the group should in this case simply play without a singer. Maybe the singer should be more aggressive as the rest of the band, that would be good.
